Ok so the car has been a dream...
1 issue, the 2nd fan for the radiator started getting intermittant ( and of course during the blazing hot So Cal summer ) other than that... perfect...

Well there is one more thing, I think I need a new seat track for the drivers seat.. it ***** a bit on full retract....

I just bought a 4 pot Wildwood caliper setup for the fronts and I have new rotors on order.. so that's next..
But this G has been just a dream.. well after all the nightmares...

Good job with the car man! A lot of people would have probably NEVER attempted to fix a car in that condition. Kudos to you.

And WILDWOOD IN

OOPS
Wilwood

Thanks to Theory_EK for the screamin deal....
had to do a bit of grinding & fitment... but now COOL!

The back story:
Perfect.. lots of clearance.. had to modify both calpiers ( grind 1/16th of the casting flashing off the lower mount ear.. it was hitting the knuckle ).. and the mounting kit was kinda stupid..
You need spacers between the bracket ( s ) to center the caliper to the rotor.. and the give you a bunch of washers..
It took 2 to space the caliper inboard ~ 3.X mm.

After fighting with that ~ 1 hr of dryfit.. remove .. test.. remove.. shim.. measure.. remove.. final adjustment.. etc

I used Brembo rotors 09 B530 10's, went for the cheapos till I knew it would all be GROOVY...

The only thing that's a bit weird is the routing for the AN lines..
To long to be a home run...
Way to short to follow the infiniti original path.. so I have em going round the strut... kinda ty wrapped ( loosly ) outta harms way...I will probably go with a different ( longer ) AN-3 kit to get a better route and tie off to the suspension better..

But they do do the trick....

I only wanted about 20% more stopping power.. and I got it and more..
Thanks
Mike

And update....
I didn't care for the stainless lines that came with the kit....
Got some 22" lines from Wilwood.... to route the lines " better "....
AND
The pads started to squeal....

So magic anti squeek.. re route the lines... make new brackets
Much better !

holy **** i read everything and it was entertaining

I got a question tho how much did everything end up costing you? with a car and parts, was it worth it?
If you can't answer it, its fine just wondering what a front end collision can cost like

Suffice it to say it would have been cheaper to have found a complete one....
BUT I would have learned NOTHING.. and this way I built it the way I wanted it to be... and repaired all the PO's Oh by the ways....

It was a project car .. which means it's not a money thing

And breaking news .. literally
The power seat track is starting to mis behave... only at the very back
As you approach full retract the left track seems to go back further ( 1/2 inch ) the the right...

This is probably due to Fat *** butt slide syndrom...
OR
A chunk of change stuck in the right track...

the good news... you can get nylon gears on e bay!
