My 3 cents is that the G is their bread and butter car and being the only Infiniti dealer in the state, gives them the edge. If you can get the base 6MT for $33-34k, then personally, that's a good deal. If you can get MSRP or $500 below, then it's yours. For the '05 you're sacrificing the brembos, but you get the 298hp, 19", and sport tuned susp. When I was there in Feb, they had 1 '04 blk/blk 6MT, fully loaded left. I bet anyone could've made an offer on that one, but I wanted the 5AT (tired of driving manual), so that was not an option for me. I never had to order a car so I can't say how that is, but picking from dealer stock is not all that bad, they do have a few 6MT in stock (across the street in the old Nissan Distributor warehouse area) and look at the safety sticker, look for January stickers or even those that expire in 2006, those are cars that have been around for a little while so they want them to go out. Also, catch them on a god awful day where no one is buying cars. I was able to get those guys at Acura down to MSRP on a TL within 1 hr because I went down on a day when they didn't sell any cars (but I'm glad that this a**hole Alan came along and pissed me and my g'friend off, went right down to Inifiniti and drove off in my G!) Look at the window sticker and see what's actually in the car because you may find one that has an option that is not on the sticker. Trust me on that. Lastly, if you're not in a rush to get your G, then wait until Sept, that's when the new '06 will be coming out and you can probably get a really good deal on the '05. I've spoke to RC and he's real personable and a pleasant guy. My guy was Mambo, he took care of me when I needed it. Mike the finance guy is awesome. My overall experience with Infiniti of Honolulu was excellent, easier to get my G than it was to buy a can of soda. (Yeah, never tried that new $2k coffee machine, but I'll be sure to try it next time.)
but, there's always the Advertiser or Star Bulletin, as noted in another thread, lots of G coupes in the paper and they've probably been driven hard so choose a 2nd hand one wisely.
Oh and for the rear lip spoiler? As XLR8SN mentioned, the ones without the 3rd brake light on the rear deck are the ones with the factory aero kit (installed in Japan) with the diffusers. The mud guards and front lip spoiler are extras that are dealer installed, I think they charge like $1200 for the complete aero kit, $600 for the spoiler only.

Happy G huntiing!

Be advised that there is a big price difference from the 2003 to the newer 2005 models. What we could get our car for roughly 31-32K cant be done for 2005 anymore. I believe that the MSRP for the 2005 models are higher. 32 or 33K for the car sounds sort of decent for a 05 version. I know that 32K was MSRP for the 2003 MT6 version.......well very close if I am a little off.

I am sure that Richard will do the best that he can within the limits of company policy of course.

I paid msrp from for my base 6-spd, no options. Out the door was like $35k. There was no budging from the price.

Good luck!
Well then, I'll go sign the papers.

Don't give up on buying through a broker.

You pay sales tax in the state you register the car, so what you are looking for is something to offset what you will need to pay to ship the car. The markup is over $3k, so if you can go to someone who will chop over $1k off the MSRP, you should come out the same or ahead of IoH.

I almost went that way myself, but trying to find a base 6MT was brutal. If I went for a premium package 6MT, I probably would have ended up buying from Grubbs, or through a broker.
