I Hate The Vq Engine

Among many other reasons i hate the VQ engine, its been know to have a serious oil consumption problem, and many have had do be replaced in fellow G cars. Well the bug has now bit me to, i just went over 10000 on mine and for the second time the oil light has come on, the first time was 2 weeks ago, days before my oil change and now a week after the oil change its on agian, im taking it in today to have jason in service look at it, i hope it doesnt break before i get it there.

No problms here either... Maybe cuz I always end up changing oil waaay before time? Previous car had 3800 miles and I changed oil twice.

Some do use some oil. None of mine ever have tho.
While you're waiting for a solution, be sure and check the level and keep it topped off. Once the oil light comes on, it's seriously low in level and could cause preventable damage.
G/L with warranty. I hope they rectify the issue for you.

Do you have regular dino oil in there or are you using a synthetic oil james731? Also any mods? (just wanted to see what else you're running)

I changed the oil in the 1st 20 miles. then at 500, 1000, 2000, then at every 3000miles there after. got into synthetics at 11000.

i have had all the regular oil changes done at the dealership, i have a bunch of mods but no internals so the mods arnt a problem, as far as changing your oil at 20 miles, i think thats a little over the top. its important to look at your levels, just because it hasnt happend to you doesnt mean it wont. if you dont beleave me do a search, there alot of this going on, i have never thought to much for this engine.

a S15 SR20 would be nice, but why not do it right and get a RB26DETT? THATS WHAT THE G35 SHOULD HAVE HAD!

after my car being in the shop for 3 days so they could figure it out and take pics for infiniti of america to see what they want to do, i drove it a half of a mile before haveing to take it back because of strange smells, noises, power loss and it didnt steer right, they also replaced my radio that had some problems, with a radio that didnt work at all! how are you going to give a customer his car back in worse shape than he droped it off in?
