It doesnt really matter what you buy for an intake. They all will provide pretty much the same thing. As far as Cold air or "short ram" and sucking up water, you pretty much have to realize, your probably not going to be driving your car in a lake, so your good. If your really that paranoid, get a cold air with a bypass valve. Honelstly some people can differ with me but a short ram is going to suck up pretty much the same temp air with or without the heat shield if you still have the stock intake "guts" and hood. I have a 04C 6mt, and i have a Nismo CAI with a bypass valve. I honestly think the sound and hiss is uncomparable with any other, but just like anyone else its your own preference. As far as power is concerned, at such low modification stages noticing any significant changes is slim to none, air is air, and as long as your car is getting it, your good to go.
