Fix Injen Drone?
Sup guys,
new to the G35 forums but not unfamiliar with posting, I've read that injen true duals are notorious for drone. I didn't know that until after I bought the car and I cant take it any more. I mean it sounds good at Idle and WOT but the drone while cruisin' is redundant. I've read that if you install a resonated X-pipe then that should help? I was also thinking of adding extra resonators, but if anyone has some input please let me know,

First - Welcome!!!
The mail issue you have is the muffler design. they will not support proper reflection and deflection characteristics, which is why you have a bunch of drone.
Getting rid of the drone by adding resonators or an X-pipe - will help. A resonated X-pipe is the best - basically a dual in-dual out muffler with a perforated X-pipe inside of it. Magnaflow makes them.
This is your only chance, and there are 2 sizes to get - your choice - but I would get the smaller of the two, primarily for fitment.
This will not solve the problem completely - but will make good headway, and actually improve the exhaust flow with the X pipe.
Next step after this - get different exhaust. After all, it's only your first system..many go through 3-4 before settling on one they stay with.
Good luck...

thanks for the info guys, I just added another set of resonators to it, and like you mentioned it helps a "little". I just needed a temp fix for the moment, doin a lot of highway drivin soon and didn't want to be too annoyed. I didn't want to modify the exhaust at all but I had no choice. I'm planning on either HKS hi-power exhaust or fujitsibo but I'll go with the lowest priced of the two. I'll prolly sell the Injen duals for dirt cheap when I get a replacement.
