Good Quiet Aftermarket Exhaust

Does anyone know of a good quiet aftermarket exhaust?? I dont want my exhaust to be noisy. Would someone reccomend a exhaust that can give me decent hp gains and not be noisy??

Re: Good Quiet Aftermarket Exhaust

The HKS rear section exhaust fits your requirements.
I believe the Stillen rear section exhaust is also pretty
quiet. I find the HKS intoxicating to listen to. Not loud
but has a deep purr.

I don't understand why you would want to spend the money when you already have a great exhaust on your car and it is NOT loud. If you don't have the factory exhaust on your coupe, contact me. I have the factory system for sale. It has less than 300 miles on it.

Re: Good Quiet Aftermarket Exhaust

If you want quiet then stick with the stock exhaust. Just change out the Y-pipe since the stock y-pipe is the most restrictive part of your exhaust system. Then maybe you can add high flow cats as well. If your picky about noise issues then I doubt any of the aftermarket cat back systems will meet your noise requirments.

Dude, stick with the stock exhaust if you want quiet. All other aftermarket exhaust would only make it louder.

Re: Good Quiet Aftermarket Exhaust

any one knows if there is a y-pipe and mid-pipe combo that will fit into the stock coupe mufler? according to prf. nissan, the nismo mid-pipe won't go into the stock mufler.

Re: Good Quiet Aftermarket Exhaust

I went to a G35 Dyno Day, and they dyno'd a couple Coupes with the Borla exhaust. I can't tell a huge difference in that one and the stock exhaust. I thought it sounded really nice though; the same tone as the stock exhaust, just slightly louder. I can't say about the amount of in-cabin noise increase though, since I haven't ridden in one with the Borla system.

Re: Good Quiet Aftermarket Exhaust

I don't think there are any aftermarket mid-pipes that will bolt up to the stock coupe muffler. All of the aftermarket mid-pipes were built for Z's and are slightly shorter. You would have to go to a muffler shop and have them weld in a small section.

Re: Good Quiet Aftermarket Exhaust

Just had Fujitsubo with Y-Pipe installed. It is not louder than stock, but pitched lower. Really great -- I recommend. Send me a PM if you are in SoCal and want to jhear system.

Re: Good Quiet Aftermarket Exhaust

My choice is Stillen, but it is louder than stock. Stay stock for doing the carpool thing with the kids, or get the Stillen Exaust, Injen CAI, and Random Technology Hi Flow Cats.
Then throw the Crawford Plenum, and TechnoSquate ECU flash and have lots of fun.
