i think that resonator is to keep the intake noise down, just like the other resonater later in the intake tubing just before the throttle body. both are pointless imo. you can remove that resonator, or do what i did and follow this diy:

OK.. i just got the official" word back from AMSOIL support...

Thank you for contacting AMSOIL.

In response to your inquiry,

The EaA74 is backordered at the moment but it has not been discontinued. We do have a few left in our warehouses. I suggest calling customer service at 800-956-5695 to check on the availability.

Sincerely,

Chris Kempton
AMSOIL Technical Service

So they're not going to show up on the web site, until they have available stock on hand, until then we can still order via the 1-800 line.

problem solved

Wow Amsoil makes it hard to give them money. They won't let me order over the phone without an account, which is ridiculous. Why can't they just take an order like a normal company? So I set up an account online just like the lady said I needed to. Called back later, another lady couldn't find my account and tried to send me to the web tech line, implying that I had done something wrong. Then she tells me to sign up as a preferred customer instead of creating a regular online account.

So wait, you want me to pay you $20/year just for the privilege of then buying your product? I think not. Geez, all I wanted to do was buy a filter. Guess I'll stick with my K&N.

That's messed up dude... I simply call and give them a CC number, a ship to address.. and it's done...? I have never had to pay a $20 fee.. EVER..?!?!

I've had nothing but good response and service from them in the past?

Yeah I called twice this morning, talked to two different ladies. Both insisted that I must have an account with them to place an order.

Any other source for the Amsoil? R&D Factory doesn't stock them yet.
