the gamma exhaust on the driver side was touching part of the underneath of the car. they shaved the little lip down on the car so that it would clear. when i was under there after the install it looked like it cleared.

rattling may be the wrong work. when i'm driving i'll here a vibration every so often....sound of a buzz. not sure if that's normal or of it is coming from the exhaust touching something.

You sure it's not your license plate rattling? I can hear mine rattle if I'm not moving, and the shop didn't have any clearance issues while installing it...

i don't have any plates yet. lol. part of the reason i got pulled over. dmv is such a crock of **** to deal with.

maybe i'm just getting used to the exhaust loudness.....but i could have sworn the car was a lot quieter today.

That's normal.

The mufflers need a time to break in and do their job.

man....the exhaust drone is driving me bonkers.....
lol...i hope that goes away somehow. is the drone increased because the pipes are 3"? someone told me that i should have gotten the 2.5. i'm starting to wish i got the VQ system after hearing getting in another drivers g35 that had a stillen exhaust. the sound outside of the car is great...inside it causes migraines. lol

i'm hoping there is some sort of cure for this.....like maybe if the piece that connects the Y is resonated or something?

oh and my gas milage has plummeted to 15mpg.

not really. i have to get it above 3k rpm cuz anything under is a nightmare. inside of the car sounds like a honda with a terrible system. outside sounds great.

if only there was a way to shut up the exhaust on the inside the way the stillen is while keeping the dual exhaust setup.

^^ Lol, I'm in the exact same boat as you pal . Lower mpg cause I have to keep it at over 3k. I either have to accelerate really really slow, or really fast and watch out for cops...

no. dynamat can't fix this. i was just trying to talk to a friend with my bluetooth and they couldn't hear me over all that drone.

i've had enough already lol.

i really would like to trade my setup in for the VQ system. this is absurd right now. lol

i wonder what the swap entails. i can't imagine the drone going away no matter how much you break it in. the outside of the car sounds fine and all....but it's almost not drivable with all this noise.

im going to riverside infiniti 2morrow morning for some maintenance.

hopefully they can work something out with me cuz i'm pretty sure they have the vq system. its like you don't want to touch the gas pedal on the car because of the sound that it's going to make, but when you do, you want to push it harder so that it will get out of the drone zone.

I was thinking of dynamat too, but I really doubt it'd make a huge difference. Maybe we can switch out a part of the exhaust, lol.
