Are all four axle back sections the same, but different sound levels?

No. 2 use the same muffler case, the other two are completely different animals.

I'll be working on them all day tomorrow and probably for a few days after that.

When they are done come on by for a sound test.

Photo dump!

Here you go!

These are 2 of 4 new axleback sections. Of these two, they both have the same muffler case but they have different internals. They will dyno the same as Shockwave))) but will each sound very differently.

These axleback muffler sections are $285 ea.
4.5" Titanium tips come in rolled or straight lip. Blue or Silver titanium. Tips are sold separately.

As always, Motordyne exhaust products are made with nothing but the best design, parts, materials, polishing and rainbow welding.

I love it Tony, looks great! What is the sound difference between these two if you were to describe it? I was a little scared to hear about the price but I am glad that they are price so well. Looks like with this axle back the gtspec rear lateral brace will fit.

There is both a spiral louver core and a perforated core type.

My personal preference between these two is the with the perforated core.

Sound quality can be subjective and is best left to sound clips. I'm sure we can get some posted soon.

That is one top notch welding quality. Look forward for sound clips and dyno test results.

Great job, my man!

^ Apparently the new sections shouldn't change anything in the performance, I gained 13 HP when I dyno'd my TDX catback.

Looking great as always, can't wait to see what the other two sections are like . I'm thinking of getting either Stillen or Hotchkis sways soon, do you know if I'll have any clearance problems?

These two axle backs are ready for purchase correct? I am planning to buy a pair so that you can ship them out at the same time you ship out the plenum items for the Shootout Test I'm going to be performing. But let me just get some more information general information on the exhaust.Let me know if this ranking is correct.

From loudest to quietest
- Shockwave TDX + TPs
- Shockwave + TPs
- Gamma TDX + TPs
- Gamma + TPs
- Harakiri TDX + TPs
- Harakiri + TPs
- Spiral Core TDX + TPs
- Spiral Core + TPs
- Perforated Core TDX + TPs
- Perforated Core + TPs
- Stock + TPs
- Stock

I'm assuming that the MD TPs will kick down each configuration by a notch below the TPs.

Where would the two other new axlebacks fit in that ranking and can you also give a brief description like you did above as to what the sound changes are? What kind of noise does the MD TPs reduce compared to the Spiral Core? I am mainly annoyed by that droning at around 2500rpm and want to get rid of that, if it means making it quiet by a lot then I don't mind. Just in case you don't remember my setup, I have both the Shockwave and the Gamma but am the latter one. Thanks!

^ My guess is you will like either the perforated core muffler or one of the two units yet to be released. And yes, compared to standard test pipes, the MD test pipes will be much more forgiving on the ears.

^^They were designed with Stillen Swaybars in place.

I'm liking your test pipes more and more . I bought hfc's instead of tp's because they're too loud for my taste and because of the fumes. Do your tp's reduce any of the smell, or is that something unavoidable with tp's?

Would you say that the following is true,

Gamma + MD Tps is louder then Perforated Core + regular TPs?
