Haha yeah, mine and some other peoples avatars show up as a small question mark to me
.
Back on topic. Did any of the other new axle back sections significantly reduce droning as well as the shockwave 2 did? I never really wanted to have a super loud exhaust on my car, so if one of the other sections dramatically reduce droning and aren't as loud, that'd be perfect.

None were as effective as the V2.
You know, when I hear you driving around with the V2, it sounded perfectly fine from the outside. Its not until you get into the WOT high RPM's that its loud.

I guess you're right, I really don't get on it that much anyway. At least it won't be as loud on the inside anymore lol.
Wow...
Being a relative noob to the whole scene I've had my head swirling with a bunch of different information pertaining to everything from double din to headers to oil.
I must admit, however, that no one thread has so completely convinced me that the world will literally implode on itself if I don't get the shockwave with the V2 arrangement. I admit, there are other good setups out there judging by the opinions of many who know a lot more than I do... but I don't think I've ever seen the guy who designs and produces his product in the trenches with the end users like this. Must be something with Tony's in the forums- Between riverside infinity and MD I don't think I'll do business anywhere else.
I've read a lot of the 60 odd pages in here... but I'm having a hard time getting my head around one thing. I've done the thread searches and read a lot of different information...
I was going to put headers on but I'm hesitating on that right now- I'm strictly NA for now. I was thinking HFCs or RTP (knowing I'd rather get stuffed through a 3" hole head first and turned into a hot dog than have a raspy / ricey tone coming out of my muffler), and that Shockwave TDX V2 looks like the ticket.
So my question is (and I'm sorry if I missed it on page... 34... or 52... or 3) if I'm planning on going strictly MD... are resonated test pipes with this setup going to give me the performance I need with the commanding exhaust note it looks like everyone on this thread wants? If so... I'm IN! If not... swap out for HFC? And I take it from what I've read that these are all available- except the V2 portion of the Shockwave TDX?
Thanks in advance.
Eno

About 2 more weeks until the first set comes out of production and I guantee this will be the most awesome exhaust ever produced for the VQ.
Hell I'm even excited about it.

I'll post some production part pics tomorrow.
EDIT: And yes, the MD test pipes will make gains unlike any other test pipe.
