THE megan racing v2 resonated test pipe thread....

So I need to get rid of my rusted OEM cat. converter.

I read that megan was a sub-par part, but in recent threads, the people who have purchased them haven't had problems.....welds/CEL/fit

This will be for the V2 with the flex flange..

Now for the people who have purchased megan in the past, or currently run megan parts...what can yo say about them? Did you throw CEL's....did you have welds break........list problems that you had please.

And especially for the people who have the V2 test pipe on their car right now.......is there any rasp??? How did it affect the sound?? I don't like rasp as I had plenty on my s2000.

please help.

I have the V1 test pipe and they are holding up fine. I think either way V1 or V2 you're going to have rasp at high rpm's no matter what.

I had all megan racing exhaust on my evo. They have excellent customer service. I ordered a 3" turbo-back exhaust. They messed up and send me 2.5 converters, All i did was call and they sent me new 3' and told me too keep the 2.5's really a stand out company... Exhaust was worth every penny

Since your not supposed to start new threads when there are old threads about it... isn't raising thread's from the dead a good thing? lol

I have megan V2 test pipes and have no problem. I am going to get a Magnaflox resonated X-pipe installed in place of my X02 H-pipe because I read it takes away the "metal cracking" sound at 4-6k RPMs... should sound much better after that.. but except for that I have no complaints.

^It sure does take away the sound.

No problem with my V2's. After hundreds of passes down the strip, multiple canyon runs, an engine replacement, broken engine mount, it has held up fine.

Jairen, does the v2 cause the CEL to come on or has it never been an issue since you installed them?

My CEL came on after a few hundred miles. I have a REVUP, so the "sniffers' are more sensitive.

Word. Did you notice any difference in gas mileage or anything like that? When I had straight pipes on my IS300, my CEL was constantly on and kind of bogged down my gas mileage.
