Is this supposed to be the Magnaflow X pipe?

Ok I just got my order today and i thought it was supposed to be an X'd pipe. Doesn't look like an X pipe to me and i confirmed with the magnaflow guys the part number for the G35 and they said 11385 so this was it.

That is it! 11385 is a muffler with a resonated x-path, look inside. It can clearly be seen that the exhaust gasses will cross in an "x" path internally. I have this exact same x-muffler as do many others. It is infact different from a just straight up x-pipes tho.

No problem. Dont have pics of my current set up with the magnaflow, but here are some pics of the straight thru x-pipe I had prior to replacing it with the 11385 muffler. There are links to other threads that used the magnaflow as well.

hey STILLENDoutG35, did you get them installed already? hows it doing so far? I wanted to ask cause you see, I just installed magnaflow 11385 and love it, they are cheaper on ebay but I wanted a warranty (the salt on the roads here in winter kills an exhaust) so I got it here magnaflow 11385 , or you can try one of the vendors here, they are always running sales/specials. either way its a great system and very easy to install so what are your impressions so far? thanks in advance.

I'm probably one of the 1st few to do this on a G but it's been done on the borla/HKS/X02 350zs quite a bit.

My question to the OP is how did you come up this number and what did you expect to receive? You must have read a threads pertaining to it to know to order it. Especially 11385 that isn't mentioned being a resonated X on Magnaflow's website and because the stillen already has a X

you cut out the stillen x pipe and install this resonated x pipe [muffler]
when adding headers and/or high flow cats to the stillen exhaust, you get some nasty rasp.... At least i did. SO i got rid of the stillen resonators and the stillen x pipe and replaced them with the Magnaflow 11385. Sounded really nice after that. deep, aggressive and a little louder than the original stillen set up. Although this set up is a little quieter than the original stillen if you dont have aftermarket headers and HFCs/test pipes.

If running non resonated test pipes U will have a little rasp if you delete the stillen resonators, so keep them on. If you got resonated test pipes or HFCs, get rid of those stillen resonators. No rasp.

heres some pix
Sorry no videos...
plus i just sold this exhaust.
I miss it, it really freed up the power band. It just let my car GO!
For all of those that ARE going to ask, i removed the middle pipe because i was removing my rear axles

I have the Borla Parts too and love it, my brother got his used from craigslist but I wanted a valid warranty so I got it here. Borla Parts Exhaust 14385, or you can try one of the sponsors here on the forum, they are allways having sales/specials. Either way its a great exhaust system, sounds great, and very easy to install.
