Its not a threat actually, i just really want to see what your all about. Thats fine, you never took the time to get to know, but instead opened your mouth in an unnecessary manner. Derek is a great guy, very talented individual who knows his VQ's, i can appreciate that in a dude. We are all here for the same reason, we all have the same passion which is modding cars. So do it in a manner which other dont like, some do it in a manner which everyone can appreciate. Im not here to get in a pissing match because I do value my reputation on the forums i participate in, especially driver. So let me be the bigger man and apologize first. I've had it on my car for the past 2yrs. Does it give me power I don't know, I think it helps with throttle response like grounding wires do for 5ats, but nothing for 6mts.

Most of the cars that have positive results are 5AT. The car at dyno day that showed gains was a friend of mine that wanted to try it out. DaveO installed it on her car and it showed gains. That car was a 5AT.

Well not trying to defend OCG35, but his car is faster than mine because I actually drove it and raced him on the street.

I know if he was over here his car would run low 13's the fact of the matter is socal tracks suck. I can relate because i have raced the same car on both coasts. Best WC N/A 14.48 F/I 13.03 Best EC N/A 13.4 F/I ? (soon)

I ran my 13.4 on shawn church's 91 oct tune on my car. I should be even faster now with my retune from FT which showed gains on top of my previous tune.

I plan on getting retuned for a 3in maf housing I will ask Dave at FT if he can do a couple of pulls with and without it before my retune.

OP it's up to you if you want to buy it or not. I'll be in newport news july 3rd I'll let you try it out on your car if you like before you spend your money.

 

Yes. I believe I've been blamed for the departures of DaveO, ChicagoX, and G35_TX from this site. I'm sure there are others in CA that have left that blame me as well. You're next j/k Believe me, I lose no sleep over the fact that these guys left because of me. I came on to the site and began questioning the validity of certain mods and it REALLY rubbed those guys the wrong way because apparently no one had questioned these mods or themselves and actually offered proof/science to back up my arguments. If they can't stand someone questioning them and arguing (in a civil way) their point, then maybe they were wrong to begin with or maybe they weren't as knowledgeable as people thought? My "antics" were definitely learned from Maxima.org because I had gotten burned so many times on mods that were proclaimed as great only to perform miserably on the strip/dyno or made for crappy drivability. Yes, I am high critical of modifications. I don't like wasting money or having people overly hype stuff.

 

No way in hell someone dynoed 8whp gain from a TBS.. Even if it were to "rifle" air, the airflow inside the plenum would all be disrupted do to the change in shape from the intake inside a more narrow pleunum.. Plus in between the upper and lower plenum there are 6 long bolts that would interfere with the "rifling".

Then of course you've got the lower plenum you need the air running through.. Then inside the 6 runners... Yeah...

 

I remember that/those threads. I just asked for dyno verification. I even looked pretty hard. Oh well. DaveO's postings were waning anyway because he was rampting up being Ed of Nissan sport mag. (or that's my opinion on it). Russ is a numnutz anyway and Chicago sold his G.

I kicked ChicagoX in the face and he never came back. That guy was a complete joke. He bought a E55 and wanted to post same old bullsh!t, i kicked him in the face again and he has been gone since.

BTW OCG35's car will kick many car's a$$es. His car is a legit mid 13 car just like the 335.
