A look inside of an HKS H-pipe- picture

I had to cut the HKS Y pipe to modify something and this is what it looks like:

quality stuff..............




here's a picture of what it was BEFORE i hacked it up and received from the seller.

As you can see. the only part NOT original was the Y pipe part. (obvious)

Talk about a restriction. Not what I'd expect from a $1500 exhaust.

Here's the knock-off's h-pipe. Also useless.

-nah mine is the real deal. it has the welded end caps.

- the knock off at least doesn't have half the airflow blocked off lol

Makes me wonder if the side branch resonators are also the same way.

IMHO, it's just an h-pipe and any quality muffler shop can make a new proper h-pipe. It sucks considering the price of the exhaust, but it's an easy, cheap fix.

That is VERY surprising...I'm not quite sure how useful that H-pipe will be with such turbulance...
