Thank you ShanesG
So does that mean you can get unresonated test pipes
and if i want to do that for my G, should i get Aftermarket test pipes without resonators or just modify my existing pipes? Thanks again

Test Pipes are either resonated or non-resonated. No you can't just modify your existing OEM cats. I recommend resonated TPs otherwise you'll very likely have a ton of rasp (amount depends on the rest of your exhaust setup). Also I would suggesting looking into Motordyne ART pipes, they over better performance than Test Pipes.

okay well I'm running Nismo CAI, Motodrome plenium spacer, Stillen headers and High flows, Stillen Catback, will the Motordyne ART pipes help with a lower, but considerably louder sound... also considering changing Y pipe and mid pipe any suggestions there.... Thanks for all the help guys !

Quieter at low throttle positions and louder at high throttle positions.

And yes, it clearly has a deeper tone to it.

I always thought of test pipes as Marcus described them, either resonated or non resonated. Straight pipes to me, means removing every resonator/muffler from your exhaust system. It's just a crappy and disgustingly ugly exhaust sound with tons of rasp and usually a significant loss of power.

Stillen headers and High flows, Stillen Catback .......................Those three items = Rasp ,Rasp & more Rasp, so much rasp that you'll need a "Rasperater"....LOL

The fix is easy though , Trust me bro ! I know cause I run the same set up with the exception of the Art pipes....but I used to run ur same exact set up and I got rid o all the rasp , Ur siht will be deep!

R u a coupe or sedan ?

To clarify further
Straight pipes = Testpipes
Resonated Testipes = Testpipes with Resonator
HFC (High flow Cats) = Testpipes with a higher flowing Catalytic converter

Lastly, we have ours
ARK HFC = A HFC + Chamber = No hiss or rasp with any exhaust.
