does anyone with Crawford high flow cats have a fitment problem? i just had them installed from my friend's shop. after installation, i immediately noticed the rattle, noise rubbing against the metal under accelaration. there was no CEL, no leaking. when i took it back, my friend told me the cat is too close to the engine, barely has enough space. so when i accelerate, engine is slightly moving side to side touching the cat to cause that rattle. they tried to readjust them, taking them apart and back in, but they couldn't resolve the problem, and there was no way they could bend them. i need some inputs, whenever i drive my car, it feels so cheap.. any help will be appreciated..

i think maybe this is an issue with 2004 coupes, because my Kinetix cats had the same problem. i am getting crawfords installed in a few days, so i'll ask my tuner about this.

No problems at all with mine. Fit like a glove. This is the first I've heard of anyone with fitment issues with the Crawfords.

i contacted kinetix, they told me i got an early set that didn't fit right...
i had the exact problem that StVincent is describing

ultimately the right side one split and is leaking, so i'm sending them back for a brand new set (am switching to Crawfords anyway)

and my idle did drop slightly when i installed my high flow cats also

i contacted the Crawford crew, they said it's just the heat shield right underneath the frame, i confirmed this with my mechanic too. they told me g35c's heatshield is sitting lower than 350z for some reason, all i need to do is bend it. weather's been too cold lately, i haven't try this yet, but i think it will solve the problem.

got everything done this past wednesday...

the combo of the TopSpeed/Pro1 headers, Crawford Cats, and Fujitsubo Y-pipe definitely added some giddy-up to the car.

i also no longer have the vibration issues that plagued my Kinetix cats. the only time i get a vibration now is right when i cold start the car. i guess the Crawfords do fit better.
