I myself have had Injen exhaust, with test pipes, Stock exhaust with test pipes and UT Y Pipe, and Now Nismo with Test Pipes. I dynoed 244hp with stock exhaust and test pipes.... 249 with injen exhaust and test pipes..... 251 with Nismo Exhaust....
Injen claims 16 hp where nismo claims i believe 6, it gave me 7.... Injen's wild claims make me change my mind about this exhaust... that and the fiberglass it blew on my bumper. I myself think the Injen is the best looking exhaust, i cant tell you how many people complimented the look.... Injen sounds MEAN, thats all i can say.... its loud as hell, not that clean, it kinda putters as you get on almost like a wrx with exhaust but overall it loses the whole g35 sound and turns your car into a head turner for sure but i wasnt satisfied. There were some fitment issues with it too.... i got the replacement pipes and sold the exhaust off.... the new pipes did look like they changed them, prob would solve the fitment/ fiberglass issue...
I than baught a used nismo exhaust.... Many people told me i was dumb but after i got the 6 inch extension and a new gasket kit i paid 500 for the full cat back nismo exhaust.... Ive yet to extend my tips another two inches to make it fit perfect... I have SS piping finaly to get it done.... The sound is AMAZING! My test pipes are def adding more growl to this exhaust, my friend had it on his Z and was not as loud.... It sounds like stock going very slow but once you get on its loud.... but very very clean.... Im getting a slight hiss out of my ypipe on the low portions of the rpm band when im letting it rev down.... not very noticable, i think its due to how the y pipe goes to a single pipe.... The quality of the nismo exhaust is much much better than injens... keeping the stock design but much larger piping diameter. Many people look over this exhaust becuase of the tip problems, but when its all done, it will def. be well worth it... I get many compliments on how sweet it sounds now, but it does not have the looks of the injen... Injen for Looks Nismo for overall quality plus i made +1 hp with the adition of the nismo instead of injen... theres a link to my car on a dyno, im going to try to dig it up and get it on here.... it sounds REALLY nice, a lot nicer in person while driving tho... Ive heard stillen exhaust as well, on a SC car, i liked it....

As the signature states, I have the Stillen dual wall exhaust with Stillen's race pipes and the sound will crack windows. However, the DC stainless steel headers add a nice rumble to the Stillen exhaust. The Stillen exhaust by itself, is deep and sounds like a muscle car. I also like the shiny polished canister that sits in the middle. Dynoed last fall @ 255rwhp. Hopefully, the Unichip will add 20hp. If not, I'm getting an M3...

Hey,
I know the coupe is all the rage, but what about the sedan? Need some advise on a exhaust system for a sedan. The feeling I get is the Borla is good if it fits, what are the issues here? I am new to this forum but willing to learn Help if you can all points listened to and taken to mind
Thanks
Ed

another happy Borla fan here. ..
I've only been riding with my Borla TD for a few days, but it is definitely everything I had hoped for. . .great sound, good cost, easy to put on, and I definitely notice a difference as far as the car "pulling" harder. I noticed this (in MM mode, yes 5AT) if I leave it in 5th on the hightway and floor it, the car used to barely move. Now it feels like it is even accelerating in that gear. I also must say that I absolutely LOVE the sound. No raspy or strange fartcan sounds at all. It sounds very much like the stock exhaust, but much deeper at low RPMs. When I first start it up, the low rumble at idle actually reminds me of my grandfather's old porsche 944. The rumble is very menacing, and when you punch it out around 3k it turns into a louder stock sound. I have a great video clip (12Megs) of a comparison between the stock and the Borla TD. . .but I can't host it anywhere. If anyone wants it--or better yet--can host it, PM me. Happy deciding!
