Im looking into a good sedan exhaust but I dont like the sound of the Fuji. Which would u recomend Borla or Stillen? Droning on either? More like stock? Louder/Quieter? Any sound clips?? Thanks

 

Well, I have a coupe so I am not really the best one to answer this, but i do know some about the sedan exhausts. I can tell you that the stillen is louder, BUT there were reports of droning on the old model. The new model supposidly corrected this and made it quieter, but I'm not sure since i have not heard it. Anyway, both are decent and good exhausts (I have stillen catback on my coupe, and I love it) so you cant really go wrong with either.

Did they correct the sound of the Coupe exhaust too? I would be very interested in the Stillen system if they corrected the droning.

 

^^ hmm well the drone isn't that bad (not nearly as bad as the sedan) and it doesn't bother me, but to some people it may. i love the exhaust though, its not as loud as people say it is, but it is definitely different sounding. However, i alost have the cats like you and stillen headers.

Just Installed My Borla Today...very Impressed. It Was Real Easy Install. Sound Is Similiar To A Stock Z. Maybe A Bit Deeper. Good Power Gain Though.i Like It Much Better Than The Coupe Midpipe . Heard Stillen Is Louder. I Think The Borla Is As Loud As I Would Like Without Being Ricey.

 

The Stillen exhaust sounds really nice IMO. I've seen the Borla exhaust come out of the box undamaged with fitment issues on the passenger side. My friend needed to bend the hanger a bit so it wouldn't rub on the underbody. The Borla also comes in like 12 pieces where the stillen has quite a few less.

Describe the Stillen sound. All the video links I have checked have been broken.

What is the sound like compared to the Borla? Deeper tone? Higher tone? Louder? Softer?

Recently installed the new Stillen - love it.

It is now even quiter and deeper than when reviewed below.
Required 1K to break-in - M3esq in sound.

I have the Borla TD on my coupe. Love it! Connected to NISMO headers, Crawford High flow cats. No problems or issues, 15K miles on it and going.

hockeyplay95......can you post a sound clip of your exhaust please? i will be installing headers soon and already have high flow cats (similar to ur setup) and would like to hear the stillen exhaust with these mods......from what i have been reading, the x pipe in the stillen will make a better torque/hp gain and smoother idle over the other true dual exhausts..........do you know how much heaver the stillen is over stock? what about the install? did you do it urself and any issues? Thanks in advance!
