Before I get flamed, I've tried to read up on all the post in this thread and on my350z, but it's hard to keep track of everything, so forgive me if this has already been answered.
I have a REVUP engine with no mods yet, what do I need to order for the best possible performance? I'm going to order the MREV-2, but do I need a 5/16" spacer? I recall reading about a drop in hp in the upper rpm with just the modified lower collector on the REVUP, but I could be wrong.
Could Tony or anybody else clear up what I need to order from Motordyne for a REVUP:
1) MREV-2
2) ???
Thanks

I currently have the original Copper ISO Thermal MREV+ set-up installed on my '05 6MT RevUp engine. This kit consists of the MREV+ (first generation modified non RevUp engine lower collector and the ISO Thermal Plenum Spacer kit ( Aramid gasket, 5/16" plenum spacer and the Copper heating plate).
I am waiting for the new MREV 2 (non RevUp engine's lower collector with additional modifications beyond the MREV+) to arrive at my door steps. For the RevUp engines ('05 + '06 equipped with 6MT), I would get the new MREV 2 and either the 5/16" ISO Thermal Plenum Spacer kit or the 5/16" Copper ISO Thermal Plenum Spacer kit.
The plenum spacer in either of the above mentioned ISO Thermal kits has been improved over my plenum spacer. Tony has now applied the Aramid gasket material on both sides of the plenum spacers. This will definitely isolated even more heat and keep the plenum temps down even more . . . And that is good stuff to say the least.
I will be swapping out the MREV+ lower collector for the new MREV 2 lower collector and will be performing my own dyno test as soon as possible for review.
Hehehe . . . I am very glad that I got my MREV 2 ordered during this kickoff sale/introduction special. It looks like Motordyne will run out of the MREV 2 prior to the end of the special sale due to the overwhelming and unexpected demand.
