The upper collector will still be hot to the touch. However, you should have noticed that the heat is bearable, now. Just to be sure . . . The rubber insulating gasket, which came fixed to the copper plate was installed facing the plenum neck, right?

In any event, have a blast with your newest mod and try to keep the speeding down to a minimal.
Thanks for the clarification Andy. Yeah, the rubber gasket was installed facing the plenum neck.

However, my plenum is still hot to the touch after driving. I ordered the copper iso thermal 5/16" spacer and the MREV2 lower collector.

Any ideas?
Did you have a spacer before or is this the spacer plus the MREV2 lower manifold?

As for the heat, once the engine heat soaks and the underhood temps get high enough, there's no stopping heat soak on the intake manifold, regardless of the gasket setup. It's a tight engine bay that is basically sealed top and bottom.

Why not? Unless you have some kind of spacer already, adding $122+ MREV2 (skip the 5/16" spacer - dont needed with MREV2) is as good as it gets - best bung for the buck.

Even if you make, very unlikely, as little as 7 WHP you will spend ~$17 per WHP.
And if you make 12+ WHP you will spend ~$10 per WHP. Not even N2O can beat this.

Ahhh.... That's why its still running hot.

The WeaponR intakes draw in hot air from the engine compartment. The plenum cannot run any cooler than the air flowing through it.

Put your stock air box on and watch the plenum temperatures drop significantly.

No problem with the Stillen. They have a good shroud to keep the engine compartment heat out.

For cold air induction I would rank it like this:
1) Stock
2) Stillen
3) Pop Charger

I'm looking for a JWT heat-shield for my intake, hopefully that will help keep the temps down.

It would be interesting to see how it matches up with your Crawford plenum.
