As for the heat, once the engine heat soaks and the underhood temps get high enough, there's no stopping heat soak on the intake manifold, regardless of the gasket setup. It's a tight engine bay that is basically sealed top and bottom.

Why not? Unless you have some kind of spacer already, adding $122+ MREV2 (skip the 5/16" spacer - dont needed with MREV2) is as good as it gets - best bung for the buck.Originally Posted by Aznteazer

Even if you make, very unlikely, as little as 7 WHP you will spend ~$17 per WHP.
And if you make 12+ WHP you will spend ~$10 per WHP. Not even N2O can beat this.

The WeaponR intakes draw in hot air from the engine compartment. The plenum cannot run any cooler than the air flowing through it.
Put your stock air box on and watch the plenum temperatures drop significantly.

Tony doyou think this will be a problem with most of the CAI mods like the stillen?
No problem with the Stillen. They have a good shroud to keep the engine compartment heat out.
