Overlay Vs. Spray?

Just curious what do you guys prefer or have heard the pros and cons of the tail light or headlight vht tint spray applications vs. the pre cut tint overlay? I hear the overlay is a very aggervating and somewhat difficult process to apply. Haven't heard much feedback from the tint spray though.

where the heck do you even get tint spray?
and isnt it easy to mess up ??
what I mean is if you wanna do like a 60% tint and not completely black out the headlights/taillights... how the heck do you accomplish that by spraypaint ???
you're either gonna end up spraying too much or too little and there's a 99% chance it's not gonna be even ..........

am I missing something here ??
i need to tint or spray my taillights and possibly my headlights also. so yeaaa

Paint is very clean. Overlays are way less $ and can be removed in minutes.

Overlay's really aren't that hard to install. I've never done one in my life and I did mine in about 2 hrs. Probably could do them quicker now.

The 06 tails are probably harder but if you get the GTR style, then you don't have to worry about the ripples.

personally i'd go with overlays before painting just to make sure it's what you want, you can always remove vinyl...if you do spray them i'd go with a black paint over VHT tint
