06+ sport bumper or 05 bumper on 05 coupe?

So, I might have to get a new bumper.

Do you guys think the 06 front bumper looks good on an 05 coupe, or should I stick w/ the 05 front bumper (poosibly w/ lip)?

Anybody have side-by-side pics of the 2 or a pic of an 03-05 coupe w/ the 06 front bumper?

unless you plan on getting a lip for the 03-05 bumper, then i can pretty much tell you how the poll is going to go.

quite a few people here with 03-05 coupes have "upgraded" to the 06+ sport bumper. if you wanna keep it simple (without a lip), then the 06+ sport bumper takes the win - hands down.

Thanks Hero! Will, the 06 sport bumper "sit" lower than the 05 bumper or would ground clearance be the same?

as far as i know, they sit at about the same height. if there is any differences in height, it would be minimal i'd think.

Thx again Hero. I'm thinking ordering the 06 bumper and having the shop paint it would be a better deal, than having them overhaul my 05 bumper, sand it down, fill in the scrapes and stuff and paint it (Already have had this done once already).

I'm pretty sure the cost would be about the same. Can you keep on sanding down and repainting a bumper many times before it loses any of its structural integrity?

Anyone have the nissan/inifiniti oem part number for the 06 bumper?

I know it is the "sports bumper", but on trademotion, is it the one w/ active rear steering or the one w/out?

Pretty sure I'm gonna go w/ the 06 bumper--my local dealer may even have one in stock--have to wait till monday to find out tho--

that's interesting, because you can have an 06 sport coupe with or without RAS. i'd give tony@riversideinfiniti a call and ask him.

last i heard, their price for the sport bumper is ~$200 + shipping (msrp is ~$300) from riverside infiniti.

Would the nismo look funny w/out the other nismo aero pieces?

Concerned about chicago winters and that much open space--meshing can be installed on the nismo as well? How much lower would the nismo bumper be than the 06 sports bumper?

Is the fitment of the nismo equally as good as the oem--I heard some have had problems w/ the rear diffuser?

Would any vendors actually have the nismo bumper in stock? Seems like its at least a 3-4 week wait.

Also concerned that the nismo is made of fiberglass--I assume this can't hold up well in any kind of contact, especially in the winter right? I would hate to spend $900 on the nismo, $350 for paint and install, and then have it crack or split on me.
