Well,
I month ago I changed the Steering wheel. After the install, when I turn on the Car the VDC off and slip lights turns on. When that happends, the left controls of the steering (volume up, down, etc) doesnt work. If I turn on the car and didnt move, and I do not move the steering wheel the lights do not turn on and the controls works ok. What can be?

i think you may have to re calibrate the steering angle sensor at the dealership. or, you could have broken the clock spring windings. I know many people who have done this.
Thanks.
Where I can found the clock spring windings? That is just the white thin cable or the this includes the black round piece?
Regards.

did you just remove the wheel or did anything else have to be taken out or adjusted to install your steering wheel?
sorry to say, if you broke the windings inside of that round black housing, chances are you will need a new one and have to get it calibrated.

I remove just 2 airbags screws (Tamper T30) and the center screw (steering wheel). I really don't notice something broke. Then I need to go for service... Any chance that the airbag get open? The airbag signal is blinking likes when you turn on the car, but after the test; still blinking.
There are any chances that the airbag can be deployed itself? When you said windings, do you referred to the spiral cable?

I replaced the clockspring today and vdc and slip light went on. I am not sure what to do and I can't think what could have caused this.

Did you turn the car on while you had the airbag disconnected? If so, you will need to get the SRS code cleared at the dealer, or do it yourself with an Autoenginuity or a Chipher.Originally Posted by coolbratva
