i know its it’s an old thread. But seeing if someone can chime in on the wiring. I’ve de-pinned the 37 harness and when I tried to realign it with the 35 layout, no joy. The closest I got was having the source button work and having the talk button have the volume go down. I know it’s something in the resistors or wherever but just trying to get some help in it. Pretty close to getting it done but would like to have the audio buttons. Hope someone can chime in. Thanks.

 

You could get a PAC SW if you haven't been able to get it right to be honest. Might be worth it if your time is worth the money.

 

look at my posts, just gotta map it all out from the other switch. just different resistors and you just need to either desolder the resistors and put them in the right spots or do what i did and just cut all the connections and just add wires in to bridge the connections

 

Hey! what tool did you sue to repin the plug? I can not seem to unpin them. You didn't cut it and rewire it did you?

 

So thanks to the group I did the swap and like everyone else my buttons was all over the place but I was too lazy to remap the buttons. When i finally changed the radio the horn quit working so I had no choice but to repin the wheel. Lucky for me i kept my stick wheel and just copied the colors of the pins. I literally used a safety pin to unlock the pins after i took off the harness lock. Like stated before my green wire for the horn ground was solid yellow on the g37 steering wheel but all other colors matched. The horn is now in the correct place and my cruise control work. The volume button and all the other ones doesn't work BUT again i have aftermarket radio so im not sure if it controls the stock radio fully. I couldn't find anymore information on this swap so i just tried it and it work. Especially with steering wheels being cheaper now vs 10 years ago. Ill keep everyone posted with a gtr steering wheel im trying next.
