I had this professionally done with the CCFL tubes. So its a clean install and all wires are ran under the carpets and nothing is visible anywhere.. I had them set it up where it comes on when doors open and also I had them install a manual switch so I can turn them on and off as I please or I can just leave it off and let it come on automatically when doors open and close.

I chose to run a new wire from the battery to a fuse distribution block. Completely independent of the car.
Sorry havent responded in forever been busy!

yeah pretty much what he said i think i picked the door light fuse so when my doors are open the lights come on i ll take a picture of my fuse panel this weekend if i can remember. its only cause the 2nd gen sedans are different than the ones posted earlier in the thread.

hmm i am not sure about an 03 but my best bet would be to connect it to the dome light wire so that when your door is open the lights will light up too. that is how mine is set up

like i said i have no idea for the 1st gen G's also if you scroll back a couple pages you can see what kind of LED strip i bought.

led's need the least power of any light emitting electrical device.
If they are not bright, wire them to another circuit in the car, like the cigarette lighter, just for testing to see if they are actually bright.
Or, you may be experiencing what I did with mine. I found that the ground wire for the dome light (door sensors) is that it is not a good solid connection to ground. But this resulted in a light that wouldn't stay bright, and wouldn't stay off, it would always flicker.
For this, I have not yet found a solution to as I don't know if it's just my car, or if all G's are like that.
Let me know, and I and others can work on that.

If you got them to light you got the positive and negative right.

I snaked them under the head unit. Used a clothes hanger to send it thru then pull the wires thru.
