Well here they are. Finally got around to making up the other side and installing them.

Parts: all came from radio shack
4 – 5mm Blue LED part #: 276-316 - 3.7volt – 20mA – 2600mcd
4 – Panel mount LED Holders part #: 276-080
2 – 470-ohm Resistors part #: 271-1317 – ¼ watt – 5% tolerance
2 – Mini project enclosure part #: 270-288
1 – Tamper switch part #:49-528
1 – Automotive inline fuse holder part #: 270-1238
1 - .315-Amp Fast-Acting Fuse part #: 270-1046
Some butt connectors
18 gauge wire

1st I soldiered the two negative wires coming off the leds to a negative wire that goes out of the project box. Then I soldiered the two positive wires coming off the leds to a 470ohm resistor. Next I soldier the other end of the resistor to another wire that runs out of the box.

After that I drilled 2 holes in the hood liner and pushed the led holders through. Then I drilled 2 holes on one side of the box and pushed the holder through that as well. Then I screwed on the nut that came with the holders to hold the box to the hood liner.

Where is the light coming from?

 

Then I drilled two small holes for the wires to come out on the other side of the box. Then I pushed the leds in to the holders and put the other side of the box on and screwed it together.

Tamper switch

Next I connected the wires and reinstalled the hood liner. I ran the wires down the side and into the battery compartment. The negative one I attached to the negative battery terminal and ran the other one out to the tamper switch. Then I ran another wire out of the battery compartment and down to the hood switch where the tamper switch is mounted and connected them to the tamper switch. I put an inline fuse on the wire that comes off the battery and runs down to the tamper switch. I mounted the tamper switch using zip ties. I tried several locations around the hood switch but none of which would work, so I had to mount it as shown.
