Started my Quad Project
So I've been slowly but surely gathering parts to start my quad project. I just ordered the rest of the parts which I'll have next Wednesday. I wanted to try and keep the OEM look so I went with G35 projectors. I ended up finding a set of 06 headlights that I could use for parts so I picked that up.
The housing, bezel, and lens are damaged on one but I can still use the projectors and shrouds from both.
I'll be using the following parts:
-G35 projectors
-G35 shrouds
-Matsu****a Gen 3 Ballasts
-TSX-R Clear Lenses
-Philips 85122+ Bulbs
The plan is to wire it so that it will have quad hi and low beams. I'm planning on just tapping into the solenoid wires on the OEM projector. I'm assuming this should work fine? I may or may not do DRL's, haven't decided yet.
I've also begun working on mounting a projector lens into the turn signal housing. Pretty straight forward to do so far. Here's a quick pic of the mock-up.
Update coming soon

Most of the stuff came in, just waiting on the bulbs and LED's now. I also finished fitting the projector lens into the 2nd turn signal.
Another thing I just decided to do was make my highbeams open my garage door. I'm pretty much done that, just have to wire up the relay and put it in the car. I might just do it when I swap my headlights.

It's actually pretty simple, assuming it works lol. If it does, I'll probably post up a DIY on it. More or less, you just solder wires to the button on the garage door opener, wire up a relay to trigger the button when the highbeams are turned on, and it should send a open or close signal.
The chrome bezel or the back black housing? If it's the black housing, you're in luck. That's really only the extra part I think I'll have though. If that's what you need, send me a PM

since the relay to send the signal to open/close the door would be connected to the high beam switch, and not the headlights, i would assume no matter what head lights are in, the switch would still work

Yup, I'm planning on tapping in the wires at the IPDM. So if I ever do sell the headlights, my opener and relay will still be in the car. I was originally planning on tapping into wires at the headlights but I was worried about water getting at it. Tapping at the IPDM will give it protection from the battery cover so I figured that was my best bet. You could also probably do it near the BCM.
New update and pics tomorrow, maybe a DIY for the garage door opener too

That is a really good setup.
If you can do that post a DIY.
