To clear everyone else's confusion, Infiniti's headlight assemblies are not like typical headlight assemblies, where you have separate harnesses for each light. There is only one harness on the assembly that plugs into the car. The assembly has it's own "wiring" to connect all the bulbs. This is why the city lights, bi-xenon brights, etc all continue to function. All the car does, is tell the assemblies it wants fogs, parking lights, turn signals, lowbeams, or highbeams. The assemblies figure out which/how to light the bulbs.

Your dealership is probably confused because they've never seen the 06' lights before. That's how my dealership was. They said the never ordered an 06' light before, so they didn't know what it came with, so assumed it was just the assemblies with no wires, ballasts, etc. When I received the lights, it looks to be impossible to get an assembly without the wires, because they are integrated. You'd have to bust the lights open to add the wiring later. My dealership hasn't even received any 06' coupes in, so they didn't even know the lights were different. They kept offering to order the 05' lights for me

They asked for my vin number, because they thought I crashed an 06' coupe. When I called a dealer in CA, they knew I was retrofitting them into an 03-05' before I even said anything, and even pointed out that I'd need to buy DS2 bulbs, not D2R bulbs. They were more knowledgable, and assured me they came with everything I needed to just plug em' in.

Thanks so much... all the details i needs..... awesome.... so basically i can order them from the dealer.... right? and when i order the parts.... all the bulbs would probably come with it? .... if there is any concern.... it would probably be the warantee part... how would i argue for that...? any ideas?.... do you know how much the dealers would charge us?

None of the bulbs come with the assemblies. The stealership wants an extra 400 bucks per side if you want bulbs. I bought the HID bulbs at a local speed-shop for $89 a piece. I got the other bulbs at a regular auto-parts store.

Dealership can't void the warranty. Only thing they can void the warranty on, is the headlight assemblies, but you are removing the old ones. And the new ones are OEM, so they can't void the warranty on that either. The bulbs are all the same wattage, so they can't void the warranty on the wiring.

My local dealership wants $425 each. They told me it doesn't come with ballasts or wiring, but I think they're wrong. They quoted me the same exact price as the dealer I actually bought them from in CA, and they come with ballasts and wiring. They arrived still in it's original packaging that said NISSAN in big letters across the box, so I'm sure they come with.

If you search the forums, InfinitiSpecialists sells em' for something like $589 for both, which is considerably cheaper.

I'm not quite sure I understood your last question. Are you asking if I did the swap myself? If so, yes, I did it all myself. Took a few hours, but that's because I was taking my sweet ol' time. Shoudln't really take more than an hour. Well worth it in my opinion.

Yeah when i said that they deleted the clearance strip I meant they deleted the actual lens, the hook ups remain the same, sorry for the confusion

Could only find 85W H1's on that site. Aren't '06 fogs 55W.?
Any chance you can direct me here? Debating which H1 to use. OEM's much to "yellow" looking, especially compared to projectors.Don't want to lose too much power from fogs so would 5000K be a good choice.?
Also, good tip on City Lights. I had already picked up 194 LED's. Will go to Hyperwhite bulbs now as I'm a Noob and unaware that LED's might fail from heat of fog's ....... alway's learning from you guy's.
A final question. Can I change bulbs mentined above W/O removng wheels? Some claim just to turn wheels is sufficient. Not very mechanical so looking at bulb change on my new Coupe as Major Project...... heh, heh.
TIA!!!!

They all carry 55w H1 fogs, I would think 4500-5000K is a good match. I got some cheap 5800K ones on ebay, Ill let yall know how they look when I get the car. If they burn out Ill prolly get 4700-5000k ones. You can change bulbs without removing wheels, but removing gives you more space to work with, so its just upto you.

How are you guys getting the wheel-liner pulled back by just turning the wheel? I had to put my car on jackstands, in order to be able to reach the clips on the bottom. Do I not need to remove those clips to move the wheel-well-linings, or am I just too fat?

Look at PeteNJs DIY on projectors, he has some pictures of the fender well lining peeled back with the wheel turned to one side. I havent changed out the bulbs yet but I think popping those 3 fastners should be enough??
