6k/3k installed

The Bulbs:

From DDM, I got the 35watt Slim Ballast Kit, H4 3k HID (DO NOT GET the HI/LOW BULB**)

And I also got D2R 6k HID's from DDM as well

DIY Guide

I am loving the 6k, and 3k is great.

See post #26 for a mini review

Half an Half

6k Cut Off (I was a bit closer to the wall in this pic)

4.3k

6k

A fellow Sedan owner "lowerd4lyfe" bought the Hi/low bulb and found out they create eye lashes, so buy the hi/low bulbs at your own risk. The Normal H4 bulb does not do this!

I was a little scared of them because they're so cheap. Looks like everything worked out for you though.

^ Yup those exactly, I read around people say they are good and they have lifetime warranty and are not too expensive. So we will see. I have all my old bulbs saved in case I need to swap back no biggie easy to install and uninstall.

Did you drill into the cap to install the fogs?

No drilling

uncap, plug in, fit the ballast inside the fog light housing, and recap. Pretty easy

I ahve been buying off that site since they were like $80. They produce their own kits and thats why they are so cheap. No mark-up middle man. I have these kits in my car and various other automobiles in our driveway lol Great experiences so far.

SS: Glad to see you got them in. Thank god for Blackberry Messenger. Probably made the install a little easier.

Great price!

I want to put 3k's in my fogs, but worried about the so called "ricer HID glare". How is the glare with the 3k's in the fogs?

^It isn't bad. A few local guys have driven straight at my car and says it just clashes with my headlights. They said it was no different looking than my headlight.

BUT you get in the car, and it lights up the road and gives a LOT more detail. Especially at night and in the rain. I had these on my trip out to cali, and trust me, they helped a LOT on the dark tree lined curvy mountain roads out in Colorado at 12pm at night.

I'v had these in for a year now. Nobody has flashed me, and they are VERY nice. The 'ricer' aspect doesn't apply as Lexus's come with similar setups from factory and most 'ricer glare' is caused by people in civics with 10-12k that just BLINDS you. 3k is not so much. Especially not in a fog light aimed at the road.

Thanks for the reply! Exactly the answer I was looking for. I'll take the plunge. Any tips on where to mount the hardware or pics?

Yea there is hardly any glare, cant wait to see how they help in heavy rain

They lowered the price again since I have bought them lol. While your at it get the 6k Hids for the highs it looks great over 4.3ks OEM

Install is very very easy

If you can change your oil and change a tire you can do it. If not now is the time to learn

What i did, was just found some place inside the wheel well, and tucked the ballest and wires up in there neatly. I then took a couple zip ties and secured them.

I havn't done mine in over a year, but if i recall, there should be some metal support thing in there that thin enough to get a longer zip tire around. Secure it, snip the ends, and your good to go.
