GTR's use a transaxle so it wouldn't work. Take a look, they actually run two cf drive shafts one back to the transaxle and another back up front to the transfer case. If your interested in beefing up your AT, look into Alto high performance. They make quite a few products to upgrade the Jatco RE5RO5A clutch packs.

Thanks.. . yea, after she's up and running properly and tuned. Then I'll worry about the finer details of engine bay.

Yessir, I've looked under many GTR's and know it won't fit. lol I was only wishing. I found a used built auto Trans for sale, but debating on it.

Anyone have experience removing front coolant bypass hose (in front of timing chain cover)? I plan on taking it off and welding holes shut.

Also, has anyone removed heater hose that goes to Oil Cooler?
This looks worth doing too: http://my350z.com/forum/forced-induc...removal-8.html

Just remove the oil "cooler" since its practically useless anyways.

For the coolant line, I switched to a 370Z T-stat housing which deletes one of the bungs coming out and used Samco pipe caps on the rest of the bungs.

Good thread thanks for the link. I'm getting both deletes done this week since I'm sending the hard-line off for powder coating along with a bunch of other stuff on Saturday. Deleting the oil cooler/warmer supposedly will increase cooling system capacity. I would definitely do the wire tuck now if you find yourself without a project for a night. Way easier to do it now than later...

Edit: what year 370z? ^^

Yea definitely deleting oil cooler and front hose now since I'm running Mishimoto dual pass oil cooler with Greddy T-stat plate. Thanks for everyone's input. Cheers to clean engine bays!

I'm running titanium turbo blankets. Forgot the brand. DEI or some other brand. Wrapped my manifolds too.

-1 on the turbo blanket prices. Jeez. To delete the front hose I tapped in 3/8 NPT and plugged it. It was a huge bitch to braze the hard line shut though. Hopefully welding will be easier. I have a spare hard line if you f it up. I can send that over. Somehow I acquired two of everything

Edit: you running a crash bar or no?

No crash bar yet. Will most likely go back to my fabricator for that, because now I'm running around with no aluminum bumper. Gotta protect my investment...TT'd motor lol
