Some new pix after a wash yesterday...
Some new pix after a wash yesterday...
It was Friday and didn't have school so I decided to wash my car yesterday.
And yeah, I still have the Cingular 8525 (a phone) for my camara. (I did put some pix before with this back in April) I personally think it's not a bad quality camara for a "phone cam".
I took lots of pix so here we go...

I have more, but these are the ones I like more than the other. Hope you enjoy!

I didn't even notice it until I actually saw that picture, too.
Standard 2 bucket wash...
I use Meguiar products just because it's readily available. NXT line of Meg products are pretty "decent". Not top notch, but it's still very usable.
As for techniques, like I mentioned above, I use 2 bucket method with sheep skin mitt. Here's the list of procedures I use when washing the car.
1. Clean the wheel with wheel cleaner (I like DuPont cuz they're not as strong as the other product). I just spray them on and let the break dusts to break down and then I wash it down with soap water again.
2. Wash the car with 2 bucket method. I make sure use lots of soap to soak in and precise, but not too slow to point some parts of the soap gets dried. And then of course, spray crap load of water.
3. Take the spray nozzle off the hose and just hose down the car with water, this make the water just drips downt the car so you don't have to wipe out the water off the car as much as possble.
4. Just wipe off the water. I usually wipe off the water on the spots where visible first to prevent it from getting dried. And then I'll open all the doors, trunk, hood, and gas cap to work on the rest. (BTW, wheels and tires are last for me, cuz they make towels DIRTY quick!!)
5. Take a break and let the car get dried completely.
6. Start applying the wax. I do it panel by panel. For larger panels such as hood, roof, trunk, and etc, I do it half at a time. This waxing process usually takes me quite some time... like 2 hours or more. LOL
7. Clean the windows in and out.
8. Clean interior... I usually wipe down with damp microfiber towels.
9. Dress the tires! This makes all the difference for a car IMO. LOL I also use the DuPont brand for this cuz it doesn't give too crazy shine look the other products give. I think it's just about perfect.
10. DONE.
You can visit www.detailuniversity.com for some very useful information also.
Hope that helped.
