Coming back from the dead
Coming back from the dead
Hey All,
Happy to join the club. I'm actually taking out my champagne color 2003 G35 coupe AT that has 95km from being stored for 7-8 years. Reason being is I didnt have a drivers license for a while. I started it up a lot and did one oil change over time. Nothing is seized up and everything seems to be fine.
So I'm guessing I have to change all the fluids? Needs a little TLC, but I cant wait to start working on it. Happy to be here.

I'd change them just to be safe, use a turkey baster and suck out the reservoir of the power steering fluid, easier than doing a real drain/fill. I also wouldn't go full duration on the oil change, probably like 1k miles and then change it again just in case there was cobwebs in the crankcase or anything wierd/corroded. Check the cabin air filter for a mouse nest. Be ready for things to fail.
Your tires are probably expired, don't risk it even if they have plenty of traction. The tread pattern isn't what keeps you glued to the road it's the chemical composition of the rubber and that decays substantially over the years.

Yeah I have the revised 350Z springs on my coupe right now and love it. I used to be on the Nismo S-tune springs which were quite firm but they were a 1/2" lower than the revised springs and that actually made it a huge inconvenience due to the steepness of sidewalks in my area.
