Cars pulled over last night for "No Lic. Plates" again!

Just a heads up if your cruising through San Jose area without front lic plates. We had a few Z's, get pulled over yesterday.

Police pulled them over for no front lic. plates and then it was downhill after that. Police made them pop the hood and they rec'd more citations for illegal stuff. Keep in mind, these were two totally separate incidents around San Jose area. Be careful out there.

Many of us have witnessed this type of behavior by the Police once before at various events.

Is a police/CHP-issued front-license-plate fix-it tix the same damage as the one a meter maid issues ($10 was the last I heard of it)?

Not sure, let everyone be the judge, to say that Officer was "wrong" might be bit harsh, but he certainly didnt have to give him that ticket for the popcharger and make him go to State ref...

Now I gotta waste my time and money again and see the state ref or some crap.

This orginal thread was not intended to say that the Police did anything wrong. We all understand that no front plates is wrong and against the law. That the price to pay for looking "Cool". Just be prepared to pay if you get pulled over.

I merely just wanted to share with fellow Z/G drivers to be on the look out. Especially if your crusing as a group. The police seem to be focusing more on this lately.

Just to add to list:
As of July 1, 2008 (correction) I believe that there will be a fine up to if your caught using your cell phone w/o headset while driving. Correct me if I'm wrong.

"Behavior" by the police? It's called our job. No front plate is an infraction committed in the officers presence and he acted on it.

Second of all, the cell phone while driving law doesn't go into effect until 2008. The fine is only about $25 for the first offense. But I don't set the bail amounts. It could reach $200 by the time the court adds on all of their fees.

Question:

When the Z's that were orginally pulled over for no front plates, were also asked to open the hood. I didn't know you could get a fix it ticket for a stillen "pop charger" or "high flow intake" I was told by Stillen that it was street legal?

Also, what's the fine for having illegal mods on the car such as an after market twin turbo on a 350z or G35??
