Driving over to Reno on August 9th, somewhat early in the AM in order to spend a full day there enjoying the festivities and checking out all the cool rides.

If anyone else wants to join, we can meet up somewhere in Sac (along I80) and caravan there.

HAN has been weak the past 4 years or so. Last year no one even showed up on the final weekend last year. Everyone who is there representing is scared to do anything. The Dairy Queen closed down so that is no longer a hot spot to chill. Such a disappointment. Used to be fun times there..

I lived in Reno for 6 years so I've seen my share of Hot August Nights. The locals usually take their vacations that week and leave town. Prices for everything are jacked up to soak the tourists and It has been crap the last few years, the cops really clamped down on everything after they had a riot downtown. I heard they are bringing back the Saturday Night cruise, it's going to be on the Ring Road that goes around the Grand Sierra Resort (The old Reno Hilton on east end of town).

If you guys do go, please take my advice and enjoy the best pizza on the planet. Go to the Blind Onion and order the General! It is away from downtown so it shouldn't be too crowded and you will thank me later.
