Oh sorry it wasn't you it was another silver one i saw. I wasn't in my car.
Im surprised i havn't seen you around as i often drive down along the sea front at Southend.
I would love to see a black one close up but at the moment uk350gt's blue one is my fav colour however there are some fantastic AM wheels for black 350 gt's.

Torque developments international at thurrock are doing the works to my car.
(see link at bottom)

Works already done are ;

Impul racing body kit
Impul racing 19" RS wheels
Gialla front grill
Clear corners

The works being done are;

APS twin turbo kit
Cosworth built bottom end ie, pistons, rods, bearings, studs, gaskets etc
HKS Falcon management system + loom
Transmission cooler
Defi BF gauges fitted into dash
Engine visible parts ie plenum, nuts bolts brakets all being powder coated.

The car should run safe at 450bhp until the works below are done in feb/ march next year then i will be hoping to run anything between 500-600 bhp

Works to be done next Feb/March;

Valve body upgrade on transmission
New Torque convertor
Stronger diff.
Cosworth valve headers (top end)
Cosworth plenum
Big brake kit

I should get the car back middle of next week so hoping 5 or 6 of us at least can sort out a meet because between us i think we have gathered loads of info on our cars which we all can share. Should be good.

i cant do ice creams as over the past 18 months i have gone from 16 st to over 17 st so i got to try and cut back . All the extra bulk will slow my car down

When i get my car back i will meet you down there. I'll buy you a pint in the pub opposite the three shell's. Infact Southend might be a good place for the first proper meet if we can pick out a weekend when there is a cruise on.

Tom,
pub sounds like a whole lot better than a rossi ,good call.
The sea front would be a great first meet,I am sure there must be a few other 350gt owners who could make it,may be a post on the uk skyline site would help ???

Newbie

I have purchased a silver 2003 350 GT with premium package ;also has a sunroof. I actually bought the car 2 months ago but due to all sorts of shipping issues it arrives on August 20th. I do have a couple of questions;

Insurance - How much? and who? no one seems to have these listed. A 350Z import with Admiral comes up as £426 but they wont quote on mine.

Spoiler? mine has the Nismo spoiler on it, I don't like it and will be changing it for a OEM one (the sort of whale tail style)

Satnav and buttons? has anyone solved this or is it super expensive.

Other than that I am really looking forward to getting it. I lived in Canada and had one it was a great car!

I will be based in Glasgow.

Cheers,

Brian

Brian well done on getting the car,get ready for all the attention it gets over here !!!
Insurance, I would rec "A plan" they know all about the 350gt,if you register with the uk skyline club A plan give you a discount,you can also get loads of info over there www.skylineowners.com (A plan phone number 0845 071 1234)
Read the old threads on here to get some idea about the sat nav,air soft Andy looks to be the man right now,last I heard he was going to get the conversion done at cartronics.
We are trying to get a meet together,about 7 of us at the moment,but we are well spread out,think you have another owner somewhere up in Scotland.
Best of luck ,bet you cant wait

I will check out the other forum and A plan. Am I allowed to ask what anyone else pays?

Cheers,

Brian

Oh if you are using a third party then no probs. I did it all myself and had big problems insuring the car pre registration. I had the choice of two companys only Norwich Union and Zurich because these were the only ones that would insure against a chassis number only.
If the third party is insuring it until registered you wont have a problem. Give Adrian Flux a try, they have the car listed as a 350z gt 2+2 (i know don,t ask)
Enjoy your car you will get a great response from *** car fans apart from the odd skyline owner that believes a skyline isn't a skyline if there is no RB in it

I am insured with A Plan (fully comp), but I don't exactly know the quote as I have a double policy with my wifes car (1.8T Beetle). To give an idea tho, its just under £800 for the both of us so I reckon that the 350GT is probably between £4-500 of that amount. BTW, I now live in Dorset, not Reading and I think I am the only 350GT in this area - but wait to be proven wrong! A meet somewhere soon would be good (as to make th most of the summer weather that has FINALLY arrived!
PS. I did have to drive through 2ft of water in the 350 two weekends ago nr Reading and amazingly it coped no problem. I was definitely surprised! Did anyone else drives theirs in the recent floods?
