Hi mate. If you're still in the country on 23rd & 24th June, theres the Fast & Furious show at Brighton racecourse on the south coast (if thats not too far to travel). Should be good this year.......my car will be there!

The new screen you see in the pic above replaces the old Bose radio/cassette and the pop=up screen gets replaced with a coin box.

Presuming the centre consul remains the same or similar,we should be able to retain that pop up screen ect ect,and possibly for a lot less than 2k ??
Like you I am a bit reluctant to loose the pop up screen, but then I am not in dire need of Sat Nav !!! and my radio has been converted already.
Must admit when a few years ago a local car hi fi specialist replaced my wifes imported MX5 stereo it sounded awesome, didnt realise how crap the *** to english conversions on the radio were !!!
At this point in time I am going to wait, really do want to retain that pop up screen !!!!!!!!!!!!!If you go ahead let me know
Off topic did the 40 miles on our bikes now ready for the London to Southend ride !!!!
Rather do it in my Skyline !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rob
Hi there

The 350GT will never be an official UK car. What we will have is the new Skyline 370GT but sold through the newly arrived Infiniti dealerships as the G37, late next year. I'm not sure what that means for support of our cars. Have you had much support from Nissan Dealers?

Have only had the car for 2 months,so cant help you with Nissan dealerships.
If it helps the threads both on here and UK skyliners forums show very mixed experiences from nissan dealerships, some have had good feed back others appear indifferent.
At this point I am not sure who I will take my car to ???
My car has been serviced by the previous owner less than 2k miles ago at a nissan dealer in Bristol, all seems ok !!!

LMAO.
Trouble with removing the fuse is, the bleeper is also the lights-on warning and could possibly be for other warnings too.
As for my Nissan stealership...they were very keen to begin with, but now they know what trouble it can be to sort problems or to give advice (seeing as they are not familiar with our cars) they are not too helpful now. They gave me a ball park figure of £150 to remove the contact from reverse gear so as to solve the bleeping problem
Might try a performance car specialist.

Yeah, I've had mixed responses from Nissan too.

Nissan Birmingham - I initially had her booked in for a service, they said no problem, they had another customer with this car and had the software too etc. Had to cancel a few days before because I had to work away. Then a few weeks later tried to book again. They said they wouldn't touch it, even to change the oil. Denied knowing anything about it or having another customer with such a car. Took it to Nissan in Cannock and they said no problem and serviced for me.

I have had mixed responses from Nissan dealerships as well. No names, but with one local to me, I wasn't convinced that they would know their way around the VQ35 engine with a GPS and a big stick!
When I had my S15, I found it better to trust an independent specialist in *** cars rather than a dealership - it felt better knowing that the person(s) who serviced my car knew the car in way more detail than me, and therefore it was peace of mind knowing they had serviced it.
I have yet to find one for the 350GT, but there are places that know the 350Z well enough for me to trust them.

Ps - the console looks great with that screen!
