I have a spare rear spoiler with the centre brake light for sale. I am planning to ebay it soon, but at the moment its just gathering dust. PM me if your interested.

Also, I have the std Brembos on mine and they stop the car pretty well (since its a heavy car). Would love to have a set of 6pot AP's but can't justify them as I don't do any serious driving (just pootling around town really).

Hi Greg,

Hmmm. Very interested in your spoiler. How much do you want for it? Could you post me a picture of it? Do you have the dampers for it too as I believe you need different ones than the for the non spoiler boot lid as the whole thing is much heavier. Out of interest why aren't you using it? It increases the co-efficient a tad, keeps the **** on the deck and looks great no?

My thoughts on best colours. Black is very dark side but the car always looks dirty after just one run. Caribbean blue yes very very nice and I remember very fondly painting all my toy racing cars that very colour many moons ago. And then of course there is classic silver (bullet) of course which is mine! The car looks very slick and clean even when in need of a wash. I guess I could have the spoiler resprayed though. What do you reckon?

Out of interest, do you know much about wheel spacers? Would love to get some just to slightly flush up wheeels with bodywork but my garage says its a bit of a no no and tell me - "Wheel spacers can be risky as you have to extend the wheel studs and they can break. Also if you bring the wheels out too far any movement of the suspension causes the wheelarch to damage the tyre."

However people do seem to do this and the cars looks great. There are various spacers here:

I'm going to email the supplier but if you do have any info it would be much appreciated.

Many thanks.

Mike

I have some project kics spacers (japanese) which i have from my old car. They brought the old wheels out really well so the filled the arches better. I think wheel spacers are a must on our cars as the set them back to far on the stock set up.
Let me know if you want to try them on your car before buying them. I dont need them as my JP Scara's that i have now have the same effect without them.

Yeah!!

A 350GT forum I don't need a translating site for

I've downloaded the owners manual for the G35 version of my 2004 350GT but there are a couple of slight differences and I'm wondering if anyone can help?

There are two buttons below the steering column on the right. One appears to look like it is for a heated screen. I'm thinking the strips up the sides of the windscreen and along the top might be heated?
The other button is a tiny round on/off switch with AUTO written on it and I have no idea wtf it is for....anyone got any ideas?

Also can anyone recommend somewhere in the Newcastle area for servicing etc?

Thanks

Welcome, dont forget to join the uk members list.

The button you are talking about is only on the manual gearbox version.
Press it in (auto) and the mirrors tilt when engaging reverse gear. Leave it out then obviously they wont tilt.

Hope that helps

Tom

Thanks. I was about to post something similar after seeing the photos of your project. That looks amazing, and the Husky in the passenger seat is just a perfect finishing touch, I assume you enjoy hooving the seats?

Oh and if that AUTO button is for the door mirrors, a feature I had read and then totally forgot about, it don't seem to work. But after finally swapping out the satnav which had me driving in circles around a train yard in Tokyo I'm happy and can live with non tilting mirrors

The prices I was getting to convert were just to high since the unit didn't include bluetooth hands free or ipod connectivity. Mine wasn't the stock unit mind, someone had already swapped it for a motorised panasonic

Sat nav/DVD

Cant believe that there is not some one out there willing to do a group deal and fit TV and Sat Navs at a reasonable price.
Both Andy and I have been sitting on the fence waiting for someone to come up with one for over a year, now its Tom and at least 3 others also looking.
We all have a serious bit of kit in the car that we are reluctant to chuck out, some one out there must be able to hack this at reasonable cost ???
I pay £130 quid for a 910 Tom Tom,why are we being quoted nearly 2k to get our in house system up and running ????
The first UK dealer to offer a solution is going to get loads of work !!!

I should be at Rotorstock as well. Should be a good day!

Re. Rear spoiler - I'll take some pics of it. I have a Veilside carbon fibre BGW spoiler picnic table on the back instead. This definitely keeps the rear stuck to the road, but only I would argue, at high speeds.

My previous cars owner in japan took out the std dvd/satnav screen/player and instead put in a Pioneer dvd/tv/md/cd/radio/pvr system with a 7" screen so I don't have the same problem as you guys but I also have a Road Angel Navigator as well so that I know where those pesky speed cameras are! I would go down the route of a tomtom or similar for the hassle. There is a place near me though in Bournemouth that convert the systems - i can't remember who they are, but a quick google search should help!

hope this helps!
