Hi Andy, new here but had the car for some time now. A silver premier 2003. I'm not sure the breaks are as good as I would have expected so would like to do the same conversion you have done. Where did you get the parts from, is there anyone out there selling some and was it expensive?
I live in the North Norfolk area, anyone else live out this way?

Good site people !

I'd probably try a Z battery.

What about the motor from a 350Z? If Ghosen is all about saving money with the FM platorm and using shared parts that would be the first thing i would try.

I'm currently looking for clear side repeaters as i find the orange ones stand out like a sore thumb with the silver of the car and then possibly when money permits some other goodies.

Also, with it being the FM platform i take it for brakes and possibly exhaust i could just use 350Z parts from the UK stock?

Cheers
Hi mate. Try www.japanparts.com Koji & Yuki (yes, thats their real names )have both been very helpful in supplying parts for my GT. I got my clear corners (as their known) from them.
Koji - koji@japanvehicles.com
Yuki - yuki@japanparts.com

If you order parts, ask them if they'd mind splitting the bill. Pay a deposit and then the balance on a separate invoice. Ask them if this could then be shown as the value of the goods they will ship. That way, you'll pay less vat & import duty.

Be careful when trying 350Z parts. You may find their not compatible.

Hi Stevie (or do you prefer being called Steve). I've got AP racing front brakes. They cost me just over £1600 fitted. However, the company that fitted them made a mistake when they quoted me and they said they'd have to honour the quote even though it meant them making a very small profit. If you need a good mechanic to fit them and don't mind travelling, then I can recommend my guy. His workshop is near Arundel.

Add your details to the list mate, and get some pics up.

Hi Richard. Welcome.

So far mate, when a motor needs replacing, people seem to be using parts from a donor vehicle following a write off. However, you should be able to get one through your local Nissan stealership. My local garage have got me quite a few parts so far.
As for big brakes...I'm more than happy with my upgrade. They look the part, especially with red calipers and large grooved discs. I personally think the car was meant to have them as standard fit.

Add your name to the list:

Hi Wideboy. Funny that......my battery died last month as well. Halfords did raise an eyebrow when I took it in, but an experienced staff member had come across a similar one before and recommended a Halfords battery HB054, 330 amp. Seems to work fine.

Cheers andy,

Did you have to change the connectors at all, mine are pretty skinny?

You're lucky to have found any help at halfords, they managed to sell me 2 completely different brake discs the other day, with the same halfords code! (for my astra) At £8 a disc more than the local shop I went to with my refund money.

Have vowed to never shop there again. I might however, go see which cars take the battery you have, and go back to my local guy!

ps Re funny...2005 car by chance?

Drove nice but really wanted a black one.

Spoke to the great guy, Jurgen, JM Imports, who imported the Supra for us and he says that he should be able to find one as I would like, black, manual, premium, but there's not lots over there.

Still undecided when I read the threads re satnav problems etc.

Surprised that UK havn't their own Sub-Forum !

How do you find your treated on the two Skyline forums here ?

Cheers all.

Gerry
Hi Gerry.

Sorry mate, looks like we all overlooked your post. Been a lot going on just lately.

Yes, I've heard black ones are tricky to get hold of. Perhaps there aren't many around cos they're a bitch to keep clean . Yeah! The satnav issue is a huge one. Better off getting one without it or stripping it out and fitting an aftermarket one. It's a shame though cos I think the popup screen is so cool .

I'd recommend one anyway, cos I love driving mine .

When I first started looking at the 350GT, I got mixed feedback. In fact on one forum it started a bit of a heated debate (you know the one...."is it a Skyline or not"). But now I've found this cool bunch of guys on here, and also my local *** Car Club, problem solved .

So who's at the JAE show near Colchester this weekend ??

The feedback is that most stands are full so should be a good one Friday-Monday and with blazing sunshine.
Im gonna camp there for the 3 days along with some lads from the ***-n-crazy site. If your going look me up, you can't miss me as i still have the 'Britball run' stickers on my car along with the charity ones that i sponsored, Barnardo's.

Ps if passing don't forget to off-load any unwanted coins
