Wow i'm so sorry about your car.. That's depressing.. Luckily it wasn't in your house or the tragedy would have been much worse.

I keep scratching my head wondering how the fire started. Do you guys really think it could be an electrical short that started it?? If so, I imagine everyone that's played with the electrical system on their cars is going to be quite paranoid for a while. And if it really is arson, I hope that catch the bast ards and burn their ***** off!

It could potentially have been an electrical issue if there was a grounding issue and pos and neg wires were touching from being mis-spliced.

Due to the tailight/sidemarkers going out. I am 90% confident it was a short somewhere.
XxG35GIRLxX, did you unplug the battery before installing the headlights?

to me this sounds like the fuel line got melted due to the turbo right there and this could have caused the issue, but who knows

Wow, I am so sorry to hear about this!! I really really wish you good luck with the insurance company. I wish I could help you in some way =(

By the way, my friend with a Z had his car start on fire, but they were quickly able to get it out before it caused any damage. It was the front of the car caused by a short from his newly installed foglights. I would think your lights are the culprit.

I'm so sorry to see this happen! Just be grateful that your other vehicles, your home and you & your family wasn't harmed.

Hopefully, insurance will do the right thing and cut you a check so you can go get another G and start the modifying process all over again.

Best of luck to you, and please keep up updated as to what happens.

or perhaps i wasnt sure if she had included installation in that total or just parts themselves

furthermore, as stated.. i said I had a lot of her mods and had spent near 40k so i was once again seeing what she had actually included

Sorry for the lost.. You say you think it was the projectile lights. How long ago did you install them? I thought they were a direct replacement. plug up and go.
