for those of you that dont know.. my car caught on fire last night.
heres the story..
i went tanning at 5pm and was home by 5:30. i jumped in the shower at 7:30 to get ready to go out with some girlfriends.. then all the sudden mitchell comes rushing in the bathroom saying my car is on fire. i seriously thought it was a joke.. until i turned off the water and heard tires screeching in my driveway because he was trying to move our other cars away from it. so i jump out of the shower - soap still on and everything.. i grab my son and call 911.. not once - but twice.. both times they didnt answer. so i just throw clothes on and run outside where i see flames. so i burst into tears and start panicing.. my neighbors are crowding my front yard. 10 minutes later the fire department and police get there and put the fire out.. which is crazy because i live a mile from the fire department - but anyways they asked for my i.d/insurance and all that crap and took a report and thats that.
my gawwwd. im still in shock. i just pulled all my receipts and i had over 20k in that car.. and i looked at my insurance policy and its covered for the base value of 15k / w 1k deductable. - how is that possible!?! i cant find a decent g35 with under 40k miles for that price.
my insurance lady brought up arson and honeslty why would i pull anything like that? it was my pride and joy.. i have so much time and money into that car.. and i bought it for 33k cash in 2005 - so its not like i cant afford my payment. it just doesnt make sense unless she meant someone else - but who would do that when it was still light out?
i called and made a claim with my insurance company last night. the adjuster is suppose to call me sometime before 5 today but it may take up to 48 hours. then hopefully tell me the reason.. the only thing i can think of is an electrical problem - because my taillights/sidemarker lights/ and license plate lights stopped working after i installed my 06 projector headlights.
the fireman asked me when the last time i drove it was.. like i said before - i went tanning at 5 and was home by 5:30 - the fire broke out at 7:30ish.. so my car was fine - sitting in my driveway for 2 hours.. it wasnt acting wierd or anything while i was driving it either. thank god i didnt back it into the garage like i wanted to - the only reason i didnt was because the qx56 was blocking my way.. and i didnt want to play musical cars at the time - the house would have burnt down for sure.. the flames were at least 20 feet tall.
ughhhhhhhhhh I FAIL. im depressed. i feel like i dont even belong on this forum anymore - because i dont have a g35.. well i do but its melted in my driveway. i sat and looked at my car for 2 hours this morning - i couldnt stop crying.

also the ground cracked and my trash cans caught on fire and melted like candles and it smells like ****.. well it is because i had dirty diapers from my son in there. so sick! not to mention my brand new carpet is ruined. unless someone can tell me how to get burnt ash/coal footprints out..

Holy jesus. I am SO sorry to see this. I honestly admired your car, even more so because you are one of the only chicks I have seen mod a car up like that. I hope all goes well with the insurance company and I hope to see you back modding again soon.

so sry to hear that,i cant imagine how i would feel if my g literally melted before me...hope you get a new one soon,keep your eyes peeled there are tons of great deals out there,and keep your head up girl!!
