The 3.0T does not have an oil consumption issue. Could that oil consumption have been related to the turbo seals?

I used to check at every fill up (about once a week) as I did with the WRX. I might check it every month now.

I run 5w30 not the recommended 0w20.

Your choices:
Tesla Model 3 = out of your budget, but is a decent and quick car even though I hate electric.
WRX = I doubt Subaru has tuned out the rev-hang with the FA motor. And, lots of guys have idle issues. And, there is the failed motor thread on NASIOC that is fun to read. The first thing you will want to do is get a COBB accessport and then all the modding begins. You will find that the 6mt in the wrx is not the same as the 6mt in the STI and you will wish you started with the STI.
Q = good car. Not great out of the box and expect to do something with it...regardless of trim (Red Sport included).

Make sure the Q50 has not had its turbos replaced. If it has, move on. It is not like a Subaru. The Infiniti is not quite the same after turbo replacement.

Is the luxe on 18" wheels with no sport brakes?

Some good reading:

Thanks for the input. I'll definitely read those later when I get the chance. The ad shows 18x7 wheels so it doesn't sound like it'll have the sport brakes. I'm mainly just looking for a reliable and comfortable A-to-B car that'll probably see subtle aesthetic mods and wheels and air suspension at most. I want to keep it daily-friendly and probably won't do any crazy power mods and turn it into another money pit lol.

Q50S AWD 3.7
So, I did it! I traded in my 08 G35X for a 2015 Q50 Sport AWD with the 3.7 VQ. It has every single available option and the technology package. Its f#@king baller! I love it. It does have the DAS steering system, which at first i wasnt too crazy about. But i have gotten used to it already and i like it now. The steering is so precise and responsive, its almost difficult to drive because its so touchy. It has the lightest steering feel ive ever felt. You can literally turn lock to lock in one turn, so it's really easy when backing out of driveways/ parking spots, etc. The engine has plenty of power for me. This is my daily driver and I have a long commute every day too. I also have two little girls, so this car makes plenty of sense for me. The transmission is ok. I actually prefer the 5at in the old G better. Although this does seem to cruise easier on the highway at a much lower rpm. But that does mean when you go to pass or stomp on it, it has to downshift instead of just rolling out. This does get better mpg though, so far ive been getting 24-26!
The interior is much nicer and has a better layout. It just makes more sense where the buttons and things are now. The seats are phenomenal! I love the sport seats with the extra knee extender. I'm 6' tall and that makes it much more comfortable on long drives. heated steering wheel, really adds to the plushness. Paddle shifters are fun too! It also has the birdseye camera and backup system which is sweet! Hell even the headlights turn with the steering wheel in turns!
Overall, I couldn't be happier!

anyone with 2016+ Q50 (all) have 'concerns' or issues with the 7AT while driving in manual mode ?? i have a 2016 Q50 premium (AWD, sedan). seems the car has a delay in up shifting, as well as when you aggressively downshift (seems it rev hangs and is not quick). i came from a V36 2007 G35X sedan with the 5AT.
