Just go for it if they'll install it and you can pick it up there. Save yourself the 40 minutes it takes to install it yourself.

I just installed it, went for a drive. It's nice, but nowhere as dramatic as people made it out to be. Maybe because I didn't really drive the car that hard. Oh well. Install was fairly straightforward, and the two obvious advantages I saw were:
Shifting is much easier on the 6MT. It used to resist going into gear, now it slides in very easy, even when I'm getting on it.
Launches are improved, not sure how much because I didn't launch hard at all.
I didn't notice the exhaust note change at all at idle, but it is a bit different at low rpm. Revs better at high rpm, feels smoother.
Good mod overall, cheap, easy to do and it gives you a noticeable improvement in the feel of your car. I wouldn't go as far as to say it improves performance, but it does make it more enjoyable to drive, and to me that's worth it.

Edit:
Okay, after driving the car more, I have to say, this thing is awesome. I didn't test it out enough on the first run. Traction is MUCH improved. I used to get some wheelhop before, and my VDC would activate pretty often, now that's completely gone. Shifting is so much smoother, and it's even easier to heel & toe the car. All in all, this is a fantastic mod, there's no reason why everyone shouldn't have it on their car.8

Where did you get your engine damper from?

That's what she said

No but really, if this thing does what everyone says then I'm going to have to get one.

why does it sound like a bs mod??? It wont give you neck jerking performance - but I've never seen anyone claim that... if it works as calimed (and multiple people have confirmed it does), its a cheap little mod that should be worthwhile... I need to get one - I keep forgetting actually...

Well....i take it back. I dont believe that it is a BS mod but i just cannot see how it would improve peoples' cars as much as some peolpe say it does.

And its funny that you say you keep forgetting about it because i have been meaning to order this for months but i never got around to doing it until a few days ago...modding my car has been put on the backburner. Anyway...good luck to all

This should have been a OEM item on 6MTs. My initial impression is shifting is much better now, there is no notchiness and its easy to place into gear at any RPM.

!STOP SAYING ITS A CHEAP LITTLE MOD!! a mini aluminum shock shouldnt cost 100+ dollars imo. 50 bux would put it in the ''cheap little mod'' area. not 100+
