here is a pic of mine installed. The cars that will get the main benifit of having this mod are 6MT's. I have a 5AT and didn't really notice a difference.
But not matter what car, you will only notice a difference when on hard throttle and shifting gears.

anyone that wonders about the reference to "plasma vortex"... google it... its better than nano technology!

And if you don’t think Randy (caskyline) has anything to do with it... you haven’t seen his car! Or his work!

just installed 1/1/08

Hey guys. Just installed today on my 06 MT coupe. Did by myself in about 2 hours. A few things I would recommend. Loosen the top bolt and remove the bottom two bolts on the PS reservoir bracket and swing it out of the way. Remove the single bolt holding the coolant tank and pull it off it's mount and out of the way. Remove the two bolts holding the grounding wire to the lower frame so you can get the whole grounding wire thing/harness out of your way. Invest in a nice set of 3/8 drive hex sockets + various length extension bars. Use bungee cords (if by yourself) to hold the various lines and PS reservoir out of the way.

After one 5 mile test drive: The engine/exhaust tone sounds a little different.
No significant "extra" vibrations noted at the steering wheel or in the cockpit.
Can't say much about torque gains on one drive around town, but MT shifting does feel crisper, especially launching in 1st.

Stillen Engine Damper Review

So since the weather was nice this weekend here in Boston I deceided to install my Stillen engine damper. The instructions where quite clear but the diagrams were a real PITA. The tools that you will need when installing the damper are are a 1/2 rachet with an extra long extension, 10mm, 12mm socket, a 14mm socket and, a flat head screw driver. The install time took me about an hour. The most difficult part in doing this mod was tightening the screw on the non-adjustable end of the damper that sits on the frame rail of the car. After the install I must say that the difference is highly noticeable! I can only speak on behalf of the 6MT owners. I felt an increase in torque and the power and best of all no vibration anywhere. This little mod is worth every $85.00 and then some . Prior to the install I notice that the engine would vibrate a lot so I did some research on the product and decided to give it a try. I'll take some better shots later on after degreasing my motor (as you can see I got some grease on the damper after lubing the holes for the bolts )

^Yeah the motor mounts are going to be next mod. I notice that are engines move a lot! The engine damper really helps out a lot in centralizing the motor so there isn't much vibration at all. Even my tranny chatter is less noisy now.

I just ordered one for the exact same reason. Adding a siff 3rd point, I figured, would really help reduce movement, as well as possibly extend the life of the motor mounts and transfer initial engine power to the driveline more effectively.

Glad it's a noticeable difference! Can't wait to get mine on!
