Are you guys going to carry the version of MREV that has the modified lower collector? (first two runners are bored out for better air flow)

Good luck to you folks. I trust you will be able to fill all of the orders. The pricing looks great for the MREV, which affords the end user unquestionable gains.

I trust your venture with Motordyne proves to be quite productive.

Cool beans. I just bought one. Hopefully it will not take long to get it.

I wish someone would (maybe they have) dyno with riv-nuts on each header tube to determine A/F ratio per cylinder. A multichannel EGA would go a long way in answering how airstarved (if at all) the front 2 cylinders are. I find it unlikely that the Nissan engineers intentionally allowed 33% of the engine to effectively run rich. Especially with such stringent emission laws on the books.

Its not 33% by a long shot. I've heard the claims there is a 33% flow restriction on the front intake runners but no way. There is a restriction but not 33% by pressure or flow rate. The engine would be all jacked up if that were true.

I don't remember the numbers off hand but when I did my flow bench testing a year ago, I certaintly didn't measure a 33% difference on the stock plenum. Its much less.

Oh, sorry. I wasnt clear on that. I meant that 2 out of 6 cylinders are supposedly not getting as much air as the other 4. So 2 divided by 6 gives 33.33% of the displacement being airstarved or effectively "rich". Maybe the Nissan engineers know this and have mapped the front 2 injector duty cycles to compensate by trimming the fuel delivery to maintain consistent A/F.

And flow benches are not really so good. They dont take into account harmonics and valves snapping shut 60 times a second. Analyzing the exhaust per cylinder (pre-catalyst) is the best way to know for sure what is happening during combustion.

According to that dyno sheet, looks like this MREV plenum mod gives sizable gains of HP and Tq in the midrange, only minor below 3000 rpms and
actually takes away some minor power above 6200 rpms.

For $450 to get a solid 20-25 HP and Tq gain in the midrange at
only a couple hp/tq loss up top, seems like a great deal.

What does MotorDyne have available for 05/06 G35's with the auto??

has anyone installed the ISO thermal upgrade on an '03 or '04 model (5AT sedan, if that matters)? if so, does it make any difference?

'04 AT sedan here - yes I have it... I beta-tested the pre-production version and took frequent plenum temp readings - it definitely lowered the temps! How that relates to specific hp numbers? - don’t know. But obviously cold air = better performance.

The pre-production gasket material was different from what is currently being used - I have since switched to production version but haven't done the temp research I did with previous so can’t say first hand if the temps are as low, lower or higher - but I trust Tony's products so I believe it's as good or better.

BTW – I have the manually adjusted coolant valve (which hasn’t changed from pre-production, that I know of).

Yes, aren't those numbers incredible for the 6MT's?

For the '05/'06 AT's, people can still opt for a Motordyne plenum spacer and the ISO Thermal Package.

For ANYTHING 03/04 6MT or AUTO and 05 AUTO (ONLY)
5/16 Spacer (ISO thermal kit is optional with or without copper TB gasket)
1/2 Spacer (ISO thermal kit is optional with or without copper TB gasket)
ISO Thermal Kit: Includes Gaskets, copper TB gasket is (optional), and coolant control valve

Spacers also come with the newer plastic plenum support vs the older metal support to keep the air cooler

the only MOD motordyne makes thats limited to 05-06 6MT g35 coupes and 05-06 track 350z is the mREV mod

Which includes the lower plenum, 5/16 spacer, and iso kit

hope i got everything right =)
