andy, i'd rather not even have to think about having to turn that Coolant Control Valve. besides, i can see myself taking the car to Tahoe for a day - when the roads are clear of snow, of course.

Yeah, I had thought about that when I shoot up to my place on South Shore.

The Copper ISO is a no brainer . . . You just set it and Forget it!

My kind of mod, which is exactly why I opted for the Copper ISO MREV. We do get temps below freezing for a short part of the winter, so there is that rationalization, but more than anything it was for the set-it-and-forget-it benefit. I might forget to turn the CCV when it gets cold and I doubt that I'd notice the performance difference between the heated and non-heated throttle-body.

Let me get this right. The copper isothermal MREV+ is the one you want IF you live in a hot and cold climate. With this package you do not have to worry about the temp and forgetting to open/close the valve?

The copper in only needed if you live in an area where there is snow and long periods of sub 32 degree temps. If you live where they don't get snow as a given every year then you don't NEED the copper. You could always get it and put it on if you are scared but you don't NEED it. Why spend the money if you don't need it - sorry Tony

Well, technically I didn't NEED my wheels. I don't NEED the mrev. I didn't NEED the cats, ztube, or air filter. You didn't NEED the coupe wheels, or anything else. Hell, we had the avalanche and pacifica; we didn't NEED two g35s. Since when does need vs. want matter?

Does the MREV have the same efects for the earlier models, specifically the 2003? Or are you better off going with something different. I just joined this forum and am weighing my options to better my '03's performance.

Could more people who have installed just the ISO gasket mod, post their reviews, please?

Ok. I know you are new and I am not going to do the whole "search for it" thing BUT IN THIS THREAD it answers your question.

This mod is ONLY FOR THE 05 and 06 Manual Transmission engines.

I do not push the search option upon you but please read the thread you are replying to.

When you say "just the ISO gasket" do you mean w/rev up and no MREV?... I have 04 with iso-therm and have posted my review... beta tested and took frequent plenum temp readings. It definitely does lower plenum temps. I have a spreadsheet with temp readings. It's not proprietary but would rather have Tony give green light if I were to post it (since it's his product).

If you're asking about butt dyno gains - don’t know, had too many other mods at the same time. Spacer being one and it DEFINATELY has gains!
