things have been slow and boring at my job, so ive been working on my bikes and g at work. just added rca & usb inputs in my center console, somewhat similar to the late model g's.

nice man

...i want to do this as well along with a DC/AC power inverter outlet. I want to be able to hook up a video game system for my son on road trips but don't want to leave it permanently in the car.

you could try keeping the inverter unit in the trunk and running the wires under the seat, under the carpet and into the console. the little compartment unscrews from the rest of the console which makes it a lot easier to work with. if its possible to get replacement cables, you could just leave the wiring and take your inverter unit out again

^yep...need a nice cool place for them inverters.

but hey...do you have any experience with regular inverters vs pure sinewave inverters? I'm trying to avoid inducing any noise into the system. Would a nicely installed regular inverter work just fine?...cause those pure sinewave inverters are $$$

not really, im not very experienced with this stuff. the only experience i have is with my radioshack 350w inverter. im more into tuning than electronics, just got sick of wires hanging out of my dash. im sure there are more knowledgable people in the audio/video/electronics section

heh, i kind of failed on the usb, the drill slipped and the hole became kind of diagonal. not sure quite how to fix it, will be looking for input at towers. in regards to the screws, i was thinking of just shaving them down.
