$21.00 OIL CHANGE in Central Florida

Hey Central Florida guys/girls. A big FYI...CLASSIC NISSAN on 436 (between University Blvd. and Colonial Drive) only charges $23.38 (incl. tax) for an oil change. ORLANDO INFINITI charges over $35.00 and is much further away from most of us. I'm heading up there now and will report back my experience.

I'm all for saving the $12.00 and it is MUCH closer to my house too!

I used to go to classic when I had my 93 Pathfinder. Service guys to go to is John Barrington and the technicians under him (blue team). I wouldn't trust any of the other guys (they'll give you the run around if you're not careful). But since you're just going in for oil change, you'll be fine.

How much mileage are you at now, Neff?

2k4 - 6 mt, diamond graphite coupe

Re: $21.00 OIL CHANGE in Central Florida

Here's the skinny. $23.38 incl. tax. They did a walk around the car and noted NO DAMAGE anywhere. They returned the car with new oil, 30 point inspection in 40 minutes (Orlando Infiniti quoted me 1 hour and 15 minutes with an appt.) Nissan even squeezed me in. I did notice that they did not use the paper floor mats, as I now have a dirty floor mat (should clean up easily enough) but it's closer and $12 cheaper.

Chris,
I'm not running synthetic since I only have 4035 miles on my car. At/around 10,000 miles I'll make the switch. FYI, Nissan charges ~$50 for full synthetic which is cheaper than Orlando Infiniti. If I go to Costco, 6 quarts of Mobile 1 cost about $23.00 with tax incl. and an oil filter is probably around $5-$7, so figure $30 for the synthetic oil and filter. The $50.00 price isn't really that bad. I'm contemplating getting the fumoto valve and doing it myself... but for the meantime Nissan will do.

$50 for syn is fair.

but you should throw the fumoto in & give it a shot yourself.....nothing like knowing it was done right. For me, it isn't about the $.

You're right. For me it's about the time. 2 kids, a wife that works full time, a house with a yard, family obligations, 2 vehicles to wash (zaino), etc... Sometimes it's just too convenient to pull into a service station, sit back, relax for 40 minutes and veg out to Oprah...

If you bring your own oil and filter they only charge you $10. I did this since they don't carry Mobil 1 Syn.

It costs me $10 in gas just to get to Orlando Infiinti and back.
Not to mention the $100/hr my work time is worth.

2004 G35C 6MT Black. Yes Honey, I promise no mods. I love it just the way it is.
