Audio Shops in SoCal
Looking for a shop around the 626 area that does good/clean work. They just need to have good/competitive prices on equipment (must carry JL & Alpine) and do quality installs.
So far I've been referred to Audio Xcellence in Industry.

Have you tried eBay for them?
When I did my system, I shopped them on eBay (no warranty given, but great prices on products), and did all the installations and fabrications myself. I ended up saving quite a bit of money.
One advise tho', you won't save much money if you don't have the right tools to work on already. You'll end up spending quite a bit of money just from buying necessary tools.
Good luck Cal.

One shop I know that is highly recommend is Audio Advice in La Crescenta. In the 626, I'm not too sure. There used to be Pasadena Automotive, but sadly the owner passed about a year ago. They did some excellent work.
I'm getting more info for ya on the equipment. I just noticed you were looking for a 10" sub, not a 12". I would have suggested the sub my friend has, which used to be mine, but I don't think it would work. I'd have to check the mounting depth on it, but it is such a kick @ss sub, but it does need quite a bit of power. The cool thing about it is that it's probably only one of it's kind (was a prototype).
