pit alignment shop recommendations in oc or close to north oc
I was wondering where ppl with slammed cars go for alignment? I was looking for a pit alignment shops around the area cuz i had trouble getting on alignment racks before and now i lowered my car another 2" or so.
I dont need so called "race alignments" just want to zero out my toe.

i prefer to get it done at ride height so im not willing to bother with wood blocks to get it up a lifted rack or even a pit that lifts the car off the wheels. the problem is that it takes a little bit of time for my the ride height to settle. the alignment racks that raise the car up and down dont quite get the static ride height right when they start to adjust the camber and toe so when a few days later when your ride height settles down, the alignment is off and tires get worn out quickly. i think its more an issue for cars with coilovers than springs cuz of the higher spring rates.
I saw an alignment shop the other day on garden grove blvd called vodies. its set up like bear frame style but one of my buddies had a bad experience there before so im not sure if i want to go there.
4drmadness, how much do you charge for alignment? is it camber and toe? where are you located?

when i took it to a specialty shop (stokes tires in SM) they aligned it perfectly and said the previous guy didn't tighten everything enough, hence why my alignment went out of whack so easily.

nghiars, i do live in Garden Grove. how do you recognize this street?
Have any of you guys gone to the place on north side of garden grove blvd west of brookhurst called Vodies? they got like 8 or 9 car capacity pit. my friend said he went there a few years back but wasnt happy when his tires wore out in 4k. has anyone else tried that place?
are there no other pits around oc for alignment?

Many of our members and my friends from OC drive up here to Valencia to get their alignment done at R&G brake/alignment. Their rack is a straight drive on, no ramps everything is at ground level. I believe he charges $65 for a four wheel alignment. He actually communicates with you about any issues your suspension might have along with a before/after alignment figures....+ or - settings. i just needed my toe fixed anyways and they did a goodjob
i have the lifetime, too but this place was no good! my car kept drifting to one side and they blamed it on "radial pull." also, they didn't tighten up everything enough so as soon as i got the alignment done, i hit one small dip on the freeway and the toe got all fvcked up again.
